  • i thought of this but ended up spending bit extra for Garmin nuvi 2589lmt for $189 price match by jb from tgg. 2589lmt is far more reliable, easy ui compare to via 52. but via 52 for $146 oa good bargain too.

  • Can you please expand on more reliable? Less buggy? Lifespan?

    • +2

like bazzaa mentioned some points below. The best part of Garmin Nuvi 2589lmt is it has glass as touch screen & not plasticky one! It makes it far more better experience to touch & type. I have used Navman & Tom tom at work. They lagged & couldn't find the address sometimes. Hence less Reliable.

Garmin voice control is gold! been using personally Garmin 2597lmt for over 3 years no issues at all. But newer model with glass touch is amazing. IMO garmin > Navman> tom tom

  • The Garmins have a much easier to use UI and the touchscreen isn't laggy/indistinct like the TomTom. Keypresses can be a bit hit and miss on these. Having said that, this is the cheapest you'll get a halfway decent GPS with bluetooth.

  • How are these better than Google maps or Here we go?
