        Thanks SC - but you could have a second USB port with power adaptor - have that for one of my disk casing!

          This drive is USB powered by a single cable but it actually requires 2 USB ports, both of which need to be next to each other, otherwise the cable won't reach. It uses a mini USB to a double USB cable.

    This model apparently does bit setting with dvd+r media.

    Would it possible to remove the case from this burner and use it as an internal drive on a DELL Optiplex 755 Slim?
