I'm about to purchase a Galaxy S7 Edge. I have seen two at a decent price on Kogan. S7 Edge and S7 Edge Dual Sim.

Are these Australian stock or grey import?

I also found one on eBay by qd_au. S7 Edge ebay

I have receibed my LG G4 replacement as edge S7 last month but its firmware seems to be set to middle east. Some settings don't work but I am not complaining, very very minor issue.

  have you considered checking the language? factory resetting? checking whether your phone is even the australian stock and has the australian firmware rather than middle eastern firmware?
