Just bought one for the high school student for next year. Not the cheapest it's ever been but a good price nonetheless.

    • Should be good for high school student, but my child's school asks for higher spec unfortunately.

Anyone got any other tips, so close to the 200s

These things should drop in price anyday (or maybe not, if the aussie dollar slides further).

Intel Apollo lake chips should already be in the market soon and they boast native HEVC decoding (which is really nice for media focused devices) and 30 percent better CPU performance.

    Very important note:
    DO NOT PAY VIA PAYPAL.

      Why?

      • +1

If you pay via paypal, your order will most likely not be processed.
I am not the only person who faced this problem.
        See previous deal thread.

Edit: My order was on 21 Nov, and my paypal records till today still shows "Order Pending".

        • Wow, thanks for the response.

        • Oh damn.. I should have done CC instead then.. arghh!

          @bchliu: Call 1800-812-393
Give them your order number, and ask for its status.

        • @bsmksg: Thanks mate.. I'll call them tomorrow to see if it is chugging along. :)

  • Note that this model has some issues with the keyboard where the left end (till QAZ column) may stop working after a while. I had to replace mine and boy was it a pain in the neck…

    • I got this from a previous deal months ago and so did 4 of my friends with none of us experiencing this issue.

Is this a widespread problem or just something that happened to your unit?
