I sound like an ozbargainer ;)

  • Thanks, OP. I don't mind a glass or two of this ginger beer on occasion.

  • A bit of trivia for you all, as a bundaberg resident myself I learnt that Bundaberg ginger beer is not made in Bundaberg but in NSW.
    Food for thought.
    Not that it matters.

Really? Then what does the brewery in Bundaberg do? I've been to it.

      • Rum.

        • They shouldn't. It seems to make angry drunks like no other spirit I've known.

      • Partly manufactured here theguyrules, mostly from NSW though from local and imported ingredients.
Ask them yourself next time you're in town.
It shocked me but is the case with a lot of manufacturing these days.
They do pride themselves on being local but if you ask them where the ginger is from you'll find it's mostly from the sunshine coast and imported from various countries hence the labeling indicating so.

The cane sugar is 100% from here though.

Also Bundaberg Rum and its premix cola varieties are partly bottled in NSW.
You can also visit the factory here and see the bottling lines that rarely get turned on these days.

Trivia… Ordered a ginger beer in a cafe in Dublin & was surprised to be served a bottle of Bundaberg. Seems it was better than the local varieties. A cafe in Donegal served Byron Bay cookies.

Now I prefer Buderim Ginger cordial instead - much more ginger. No longer produced in Buderim, but just down the road in Yandina with local ginger.

      • served Byron Bay cookies.

        Don't you mean 'cookies'

  • It's cheaper at Costco.

    • What is?

      • What is?

      • Ovbiously the item in the deal. Lol.

    • Including the $60 non refundable membership that's required?

      • -1

My membership was free. Paid nothing for it.

  • Don't like this so much any more. Every time I drink it it gives me a headache

    • There's 50% RDI of sugar in one stubbie. Maybe it's that? Or a big hit of artificial sugar if you choose the "diet" version.

Be warned, this is how Gingers are made…
