How old are the batteries? Is it true they only have a 3 year shelf life?

  We have had the batteries only 6 months. I have never heard that lithium batteries have a shelf life of 3 years, I have Makita 3.0ah batteries at home now for nearly 5 years and they are still going. I suggest you ask Stanley Dewalt that question 1800 338 002 I am not sure they will be able to answer it.
