EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition $503 AUD + Shipping (Total ~ $547.27 AUD) @ Newegg

100

So not quite as good as the Amazon FR or MSY deals of the past, but pretty much the best current price for a 1070 above the base clock speeds and with EVGA global warranty. Link says "See Price in Cart" and when I've got AUD as the currency it shows as $503, with shipping $44.27 to Brisbane. Shipping may change depending on your location.

$544.50 (save $2.77) at "freeshippingtech" eBay, shipped from NZ. I've never used them before though.

+1.25% cash rewards on ebay purchases

    • whats the coupon code you need to use? It's coming up as $642 for me

  • How does this card compare to the one MSY had on sale a month back - https://www.asus.com/au/Graphics-Cards/DUAL-GTX1070-O8G/

    • Given the option the Asus would have been great, but that deal was phenomenally good. Clock speeds equivalent or better to the EVGA.
OC Mode - GPU Boost Clock : 1797 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1607 MHz
Gaming Mode (Default) - GPU Boost Clock : 1771 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1582 MHz

Also reading the comments on that deal thread, MSY may not have honoured the (too good to be true) pricing error in the end.

That deal + delivery kinda didn't end up working to well, they charged $10.38 for shipping, then added another $10.31 for handling, ended up being $525.69 shipped. I would have been stoked if I could have picked one up on the day for $505. I got an email shortly after the new year (a week after ordering) saying I could wait a few weeks and maybe get it then when they got more stock or get a full refund. I opted for the refund, paid a bit more to get it from NewEgg, then had to wait a few weeks anyway.

        • Ahh, thanks for the update. I missed the $505 one, I only saw the $404 (ironic, in hindsight) thread.

        • @beeawwb: I actually missed that one, I ordered on 24 December at $505, and was told they were out of stock.

MSY deals for those who missed them / don't want to search -
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/283998 $505
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284404 $404 (unhonoured price error?)

      • Yes the $404 was a pricing error and refunded a few days later. The $505 was actually $525-530 after online fees and shipping depending on where you could order it from. Still a good deal though and would have been happy to pay it had I not gone to the website when the price was $404 and had my order cancelled. Oh well.

  • They quote 4-7 business days for delivery, mine took two full weeks to arrive. Ordered on 3rd January, received 18th. Newegg use DAIPost to ship to Australia, looks like it sat at LAX for a few days (at least over the weekend), took a few days to get from LAX to Australian customs, cleared customs in 12 hours, then took another two days after clearing Australian customs for them to hand it over to AusPost for delivery. AusPost was actually pretty fast, delivered the day after they got it. If you want the card quickly, this may not be the best option…

But it's a very nice card, significant upgrade from my HD6970, everything looks so pretty, seems to run quiet though I probably haven't pushed it too hard either.

  • not that much cheaper from the ebays sales that just passed

    • Indeed, only about 5% or so cheaper. And if another 20% campaign starts up I'll be sure to post about it. :)

      • what are the chances they'll be a significant price drop on the 1070?

        • how cheap do you wanna pay for performance?

        • That's the hundred dollar question, hey. I'm personally holding out for 10XX-Ti and Vega announcements before making my own purchase (I'm in no hurry), but I'm still keeping an eye out for bargains in the meantime.

        • @tuzii:

I want a real bargain like the msy bungle deal- $400 yes please!!!

        • +3

@Jfi2ee: If you call a "real bargain" having ~$430 taken out of your account by MSY/Paypal for a week and then returned later, I'll do it for you now if you like :P please send money

        • what are the chances

          Not great in my estimation.

I'm hoping AMD will release a cut down version of vega, I'm looking for 1070 level performance at $500.

Freesync monitors are around $200 cheaper, and there is a lot more of them to choose from.

    • i picked up a 1070 EVGA for $440.

      • where from, link???
