Get the Sims 2 Double Deluxe game for free from the EA store. This edition includes The Sims 2 + 2 Expansion/Addon packs.

Add the item to your cart then proceed to check out, it will ask you to login with your EA account or register a new account. You will have to download the game using the EA download manager.

It is not stated when or if the offer will end.

I’m voting this positive, since a freebie’s a freebie, but be warned: this deal requires you to install the notorious EA Download Manager. Google it for more information on the numerous problems people have had with it. If after researching it, you still feel the free game is worth having to deal with EADM, that’s cool. I just want to make sure people understand what they’re installing.

Yep, I just tested it and it looks like it does.

Downloaded all the content and installed it. Then ran the game via the start menu shortcut rather than the download manager. It did needed to be connected to the net to activate itself initially, but it’s running fine now offline.

EADM is really buggy. If anything it should be labelled as a Beta, because 3 times out of 10 it refuses to let me launch Bad Company 2, and would sometimes refuse to log me in. Frustration to the max.

Also, another thing to add. I tried it out and it works fine. Took 2 hours to download but oh well. I killed 2 people in my family in the first 5 minutes though and the other got sent to the orphanage. That’s why you need a phone :) haha

Is the installation restricted to the PC that you used to download the game? I downloaded it from my laptop, but is planning to install it on my main desktop PC later, since my laptop is grossly underpowered to run any game.

you have to go find where it stores the installer files which is in the cache.

Drag ALL the files onto a USB or External HD and off you go~~

EADM is awful, I bought a bc2 digital key online and their downloader simply would not work in windows 7 x64. The guys ar Razor1911 helped me out though and with my legit key away i went. Same will go for sims 2 if you cant get their DM to work.

I’m receiving this error message:

Edit: I tried again 10 minutes later and it worked. Sims is downloading now.
