Miele C3 Complete Family - $383 @ JB Hi-Fi

100

Saw this in the local JB Hi-Fi Toowoomba. I checked the web site and it's still showing full price so I don't know if this is a national clearance or not. There were at least three in stock when I saw it.

Seems like a good price for a locally-sourced Miele product. Australian warranty, AU power cord, 2000w motor. It's not the Cat & Dog model, which was still full price at $529, but still an awesome vacuum nonetheless.

  • Note that IIRC, this is one of the few models without a HEPA or charcoal filter. This is GOOD, as it is still compatible with these filters if bought separately.

However, unlike the models with the advanced filters, it includes the holder for the standard, free filters which are included with bags. Miele doesn't seem to sell this separately, meaning you're stuck with the expensive filters if you get one of these vacuums (or do what I did, and modify another model's filter cage to fit).

    • So this has the holder for the free filter?

      • I believe so, but best to check.

  • I bought one of these a few weeks ago from Myer for the same price. Have been very happy with it - night and day compared with our old nilfisk bagless that tended to hover dirt slightly above the carpet before placing it down again

  • A complete family for $383? How much without the mother-in-law?

    • Sorry, mate. She's not optional, you have no choice at all.

  • Any Miele experts know the difference between this and the cheaper models or even the one with the turbo head that are something like $595 at the cheapest?

I don't see the problem with just getting this one and buying the turbo head separately or is it the hepa filters that make up the price difference?
