was looking at this, but to quote someone from an older thread. I'd rather get one with insurance for a similar price instead of an 'apology email' if it fails :/

    • Does insurance even work?

I can't imagine it would be ok to leave your stuff on in a huge lightning storm.

      • I've never claimed, but would assume it does.

I usually turn my stuff off anyway during a storm, but there are other causes of surges.

  • is it even safe to have so many power connections from one protector?
I have 4 on mine and i thought that was the most it can handle

  • I have 1 similar one. in fact it looks exactly the same with a different brand name. What I like about it it has individual switch so I dont have to pull stuff out of the socket. usually boards with 6 sockets do not have individual switch

I really wonder how the insurance work. has anyone know how claims work.

  • bought one of these from COTD and it was rubbish - the phone line and TV connections were unreliable. It does make a good switched powerboard, but I don't really trust it not to set things on fire. This one isn't all that cheap anyway.
