This is awesome; however it is limited to 1000 airfares. The price is low enough to encourage people to buy before they are certain too — hence driving up demand.

Seems they are doing the same thing for Albury tomorrow (6th February) at 8.00pm (http://www.virginblue.com.au/AboutUs/Media/NewsandPressRelea...).

I would expect Jetstar to release some cheap tickets anytime soon. There are a few good reasons they ought to:

  1. Competition with Virgin
  2. After what happened at Sydney airport
