Xiaomi 10000mAh Power Bank 2 (Bi-Directional QC 2.0) $26.39 Delivered

Back again, Australian stock and $3.36 cheaper delivered than the GearDo deal. Available in both black and silver.

Xiaomi 20000mAh Power Bank 2 (Bi-Directional QC 2.0) $47.96 Delivered

Also available in the 20000 mAh version for those looking for more juice. This eBay listing used to be for the first gen Xiaomi Power Bank, incase you were wondering why the sold price has increased. Only previous OzBargain deal for this Power Bank 2 20,000mAh was here for $57 delivered and grey import, so looks like a great price for Aus stock.

This is 'Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2', it's thinner than the original (Xiaomi Mi Power Bank) and importantly has QC 2.0. Not to be mistaken for the the 'Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Pro' which has USB-C and is slightly thinner again. This power bank does support QC in both directions.

  • Would these provide a sufficient charge for the Nintendo Switch on the go (and while using it)?

Slightly off subject, but I just had my 50000mah power bank seized departing from Bangkok airport. Dammit!
    Rules are here:-
Capacity of spare battery which is permitted to keep in cabin baggage must not be higher than 32,000 mAh.

50000mAh? I hope it wasn't one of those generic eBay ones that claim to have that capacity.

Most airports cut down on power banks long ago. Many have a 100Wh limit while others like Beijing require the capacity to be clearly stated. This is something Xiaomi do on their power banks.

      I usually travel with a 10000mAh and a 5000mAh to be safe.

      • I never claimed to be an expert, but maybe someone in our 'community' found my comment of value!!

  • Is the powerbank 2 and the powerbank versions the same in terms of Quickcharging in and out?

  • Thanks bought a black colour one. Looks nice.

  • $26.00 after Cashrewards rebate. Thanks OP.

  • Thanks OP. Just ordered 2

Is this the same Xiaomi 10000mAh Power Bank 2 / 20000mAh as the ones listed on their ebay? I can grab them with $1 shipping which makes them a few bucks cheaper on their website.

    • +3

Yep that's the same model, the only difference is it's shipped from Hong Kong (direct shipping offer) so it will take a while to arrive.

It's listed as 7-14 working days handling time and then 1-4 weeks postage time, so that's 3-6 weeks to receive it all up. As it's only $1.44 cheaper for the overseas stock it might not be worth the wait - if you use Cashrewards 1.3% cashback with the eBay purchase then it's only $0.46 cheaper for the overseas stock.

    can this charge a macbook?

  • The 20,000 mAh supports QC3.0

    • bidirectional?

      • yes the listing says it is bidirectional.

  • Thanks OP! Just ordered a 20000mah one.
Hopefully works well with the switch.

  • NO - the idea quoted below does not work - although the listing is labelled as ShoppingSquare in the image, the order comes up as "Seller: apusauction"
and gives error "This code can't be applied to some of your items."

Seems this Shopping Square "duplicate" listing is slightly cheaper. AU $25 result possible.
Xiaomi Mi Power Bank2 10000mAh Quick Portable External Phone Battery USB Charger
Colour not selectable. May be black. AU $31.69 versus AU $32.99 before CYBER 20% and Cash Back.

Yeah unfortunately the code doesn't apply to Apus Auction despite being managed by Shopping Square, I tried all those listings initially before posting this.

  • Damn, I keep getting burnt buying things recently then a day or so later it's cheaper elsewhere! Plus the geardo one hasn't even arrived yet. So much for ordering Australian stock…

  • Yesterday I received mine from the recent Banggood deal… The instructions are in Chinese. Uh, how do you use it? What I mean is:

    1. If I plug an LED lamp in, it's always on. Even after pressing the button. Do you have to physically unplug a device to turn the powerbank off?

    2. It doesn't matter if I press the button momentarily, or hold it down for a while before releasing… The output power to the LED lamp only goes off while the button is held down. So what is the purpose of the button?

    3. How you know when it's fully charged?

    4. How do you know its charge level, to know when it needs charging? i.e. If I press the button it displays 4x LEDs for a moment, then falls back to 2x LEDs and flashes 2x LEDs a couple of times. Does that mean it has 50% charge?

Link to English user manual for the 1st gen.

      • Thank you.

So it seems it always supplies power when something is plugged in, the button is only to check the battery, and it's fully charged when all 4x LEDs are lit and not flashing.

        • That's correct, when you plug something into the power bank it will start charging automatically (no need to turn it on), furthermore when you unplug it you will find it turns itself off shortly after. Yes when charging it do so until the 4 LEDs are all lit and stopped flashing, it's fully charged then.
