  • add on SPMC(Kodi for Android TV) and some of the kodi addons (Sports Devil, NRL, livestream, popcorn TV) and you've got yourself a nice little (sports) entertainment device.

    • is sports the only extra stuff you can use that for?

      • No whatever you can use kodi for (e.g. media centre). PopcornTV can grab pretty much any tv show. But I was enjoying the cricket streamed from SkySports2 UK, livestream NRL.

    • Why SPMC? Whats wrong with the standard Kodi app on the google play store?

  • sony ebay store sucks…

    • Why?

      • they sent tv with broken screen and it almost took over a month to get refund… and also look on their ebay seller ratings.

Still waiting for my tv that i ordered 3 weeks ago in the Sony frenzy sale. DHL courier lost the package and is supposed to be talking to Sony about sending another one but last week when i called they said they were were still conducting the investigation and nothing about the replacement. If i get no where with them tomorrow, i think i will call Sony as this is taking too long. Just beware of ordering from sony as they use DHL.

    • I'm waiting too since a few days now. They sent a tracking number and DHL link, but then corrected it to be a Toll consignment. Today I called up Toll and they said its not even picked up yet!!

Some of the other bravias on Sony eBay store are seconds. Can someone explain to me what the mean by that? Are they refurbs?

I bought 8500D. Yes, seconds are basically refurbs. But I needed one so ordered it. Hope its good and arrives soon. Btw is 1400 a good price for 8500D 55" refurb?

      • 55" X8500D regularly goes on sale brand new for ~$1500.

  • Hi, do you know of any store where I can check this TV in Melbourne? Particularly I'd like to compare it to the Hisense Series 7.

    • Maybe at a Sony store, there should be one in Mel
