  • Does it have a price, and how much is it discounted????

There is no way of telling whether this is a bargain without that info…

  • a price would really help!

  • Price on title please.

  • $70 + $7 shipping

i guess it's a good price for an LED frame but I must say I haven't compared the differences between an LCD or LED DPF.
It wouldn't be a great price for an 8" LCD really.

    • 800x600 resolution, 1GB storage, Tilt, Light sensor, Video support, Toshiba panel, its the whole package really.

  • +1

Nice to see COTD just offer one product for once (as its name would suggest), rather than its usual a plethora of $2 shop rubbish.

  • Toshiba, LED, 8", 800x600 at $70 sounds good to me

    • These things are great for watching movies in bed, without annoying anyone.

Just wondering if the dimming can be turned off

      • I can't see mention of a headphone jack? Not sure then how it wouldn't annoy anyone whilst watching.

        • usually they have headphone jacks or audio out , maybe i am wrong

I have this exactly the same photo frame brought a year ago $160 at JB.
Light sensor is cool, it automatically turns off in dark, but sensor is not adjustable. Room light usually not sufficient to activate the sensor at night.
Image is quite clear and bright.
You can play music in the photo album mode.
In time and calendar mode it will use your last picture as background, but won't change it unless you switch back to photo mode.
I never use video mode so can't comment.
1GB memory is large but transfer speed is crap! Take more than 10 mins to transfer 100MB on USB or copy from SD card.
Touch senor buttons are not so friendly and laggy. You touch it and it sense it half sec later.

    • Can you confirm/deny the presence of a headphone jack on this frame?

    • Is there a random play mode? (ie so the photos don't play in the same sequence each time?).

  • Not sure why COTD quotes $179 as the RRP, when the Toshiba site clearly states $149?

    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/accessories/digital-pho…

  • also curious if there's a random play mode, and do the blue led buttons always stay lit?

    • +1

No, the LED's don't stay lit. I've seen it in action.

Still not sure about the random play feature. I previously purchased a frame from DSE, it didn't have Random play, which ment everytime you turn it on, you see the same old photos ticking by. Boring.

      I returned tht frame.

  • What's the power consumption of this frame?

  • here's a few more specs, not sure if they're accurate though as the resolutions do not match for the model number

  • Just bought one :)
68 dollars including delivery. I think , its a pretty good deal for a 8" frame and Toshiba brand.

  • They have good deals, but super slow in delivery and worst in customer service and liars.
I bought Toshiba LED backlit photo frame, it came after 12 days and It was a normal LCD screen. Customer support said, description was alright. Everyone can see it in previous deals, what it said.
For return they said to charge for change of mind. WTF, I did not change my mind, it was wrong description.
    Beware.
