Best Phone for $100-$200 Available Locally

Need to buy within Australia.

Currently have Android so that would be easiest, it's for grandparents so don't want to re-train how to use Windows (noticed Lumia's are constantly getting discounted).

Currently have Telstra 4gx buzz so ideally something similar to this android skin, given from what I know they can be quite different between manufacturers.

  • Try Officeworks and HN, probably the best ways around it…

Alternatively, try the weekly Coles and WW specials, sometimes you might find good buys in there…

  • More the particular phones - I know little about android, other than when I've used friends phones they are different (methods of answering etc). Keeping in mind they're not IT savvy, so even a difference in how to answer a call will require work to learn. One of those little old type phones won't work because Facebook access is essential.

Telstra have 4GX HD and 4GX Plus which seem like they may be ok, basically just a bit newer than the Buzz from what I can find so far.

  • $19 prepaid, call only phone

    • Nah must have Facebook :) Use it constantly!
I'm thinking the Telstra 4GX HD will be best - ordinary phone however cheap, close to what they have at the moment, easy to buy in-town.

  • I scored a Motorola G4 Plus (Big Screen for oldies) for $253 on an Officeworks price match.

  • 10 months down the track and my $169 Kogan Agora 6 is still ok. Worth a look.
