  • I'm not that knowledgeable about monitors but it looks good.

  • I would like to know too

  • Wonder if these are overclockable like the Korean panels.

    • Pretty much every panel is overclockable. How much though varies.

  • Its this the one with no auto scaling

    • So it has full manual control over scaling? if so, that's awesome!

No it has to be driven at 2560x1440 not great if you want to use it with a game console or chromecast SD

    … Monitor Size 23" - 29" …

    I really hope I don't get a 23" one!

    • It's 27" screen. That 23" - 29" is just the category listed on the website.

  • I've got an earlier version of this monitor and I'm pretty happy with it. Bought it about 4 years ago and its still going strong.

Thanks! Ordered. Had to use the $50 voucher Dicksmith gave me for the delays in the Surface Pro 4. Will go well with the Dell XPS system which was on ozbargain. Seriously this site makes me spend waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much

    • Nice! Saved a bit more than me I went with a Dell 27inch.

  • Does this panel run at 60hz? It mentions vertical frequency as 59.95 Hz but I'm not sure of that's the same thing.

If you can tell the difference between 60Hz and 59.95Hz, what are you doing buying a $300 monitor?

      • Their question was whether the vertical frequency is what a monitors Hz is referring to. As someone who also doesn't know that answer I feel it is fair enough to ask.

        • Yeah in the manual the horizontal frequency is blank.

Is Hz the same as horizontal and vertical frequency? Why is horizontal blank?

        • +1

@Circly: Hz is the unit of frequency. When only one frequency is listed it is always the vertical rate, as it's essentially the screen refresh rate. Horizontal frequency is usually thousands of times higher (measured in kHz) and is rarely provided in the list of specs as it is irrelevant.

For those of you interested in purchasing this monitor, just beware that this is a pre-sale and it doesn't start shipping until 5th of May.

Great deal if you have the patience to wait just under a month for this monitor, but other monitor deals might pop up so waiting for another deal is also an option.

  • I'm looking for a monitor for Web Design, would this be suitable?

I've been watching for Dell U2417H aswell because it rates highly on here, missed the refurb deal. They are $375 delivered on eBay.

Should I add this to my list? Haven't used a full size monitor in years so not sure what to look for.

  • Got the monitor today. No defective pixels. The brushed aluminium finish is a bit rough and the edges of the frame are a bit sharp. Picture quality looks very good though
