MEL/SYD Return Stockholm (Sweden) w' Air China from $768 November (inc. Melbourne Cup Long Weekend) @ IWTF

540

Found this crazy low price for return flights to Stockholm, Sweden in November.
Shoulder this departure during the Melbourne Cup Long weekend (4,5,6,7 November) for even better time/value.

Normally flights are 1.5k+ - Yes this is Air China, but also includes day stopovers in Beijing, so this could be a positive for those wanting to explore Asia!

Departing Melbourne $768
Departing Sydney $891

Play around with dates to suit.

Nice and chilly in Sweden at this time with average temp of 3 degrees, so pack your winter gear.

Your Europe trip won't be complete without a visit to its ____ capital

  • Wow, that's really cheap

  • Woah that is crazy cheap. Nice find, paid >$1500 for flights in July peak

  • I can't find any that are 768$
    any luck?

  • You must be desperate to travel* cheaply if you wanna go to Scandinavia in November.

    • Care to elaborate?

        Snow and bitterly cold.

I was in Berlin early November, temps were ranging from -1C to 5C for the day. Sweden up north was worse.

travelling based on airfare alone is for poor people only. As ozbargainers we are proud of being rich but reasonable.

Get a cheap flight from there to anywhere in Europe from there and it'll still be a bargain.

Also, some people actually like snow.
Melburnians pay about the same for a weekend at Mt Buller.

      • But is it better to get a cheap flight to Japan during their Winter season? That'd be a lot cheaper. Sweden(and probably Norway) can be a quite expensive place for tourists.

After spending many precious hours in chinese layover, I would not consider it a bargain.

I'd love to go, but at that time of year you are looking at 2hrs of sun and 5-6 hrs of daylight per day. A lot of attractions actually close down.

  • where was the name stockholm syndrome coined?

    • Formally named in 1973 when four hostages were taken during a bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden. The syndrome was developed when the victims defended their captors after being released and would not agree to testify in court against them.
