Can you connected two at the same time?

        • +2

Now thats what we call professional!

    • Love these fancy Bluetooth waffle things……..

  • How is it comparing JBL OnBeat Mini?

  • Soon they will be paying us to take these x50s. Nice find

  • +3

Currently $37 at officeworks they won't like having to pricebeat at under $15.

    • +3

      Just picked one up there
The guy was surprised that it was so cheap and thought it was an old model?
Anyway he was happy to price match

      • Got one from OW in North Sydney, $14.25.

        • The guy in the Pitt Street OW store told me their LPG meant they had to add delivery ($5) to the cost because there wasnt a GGs within 10kms. Is this right??? He wanted to charge $19….

        • That's exactly what happened to me, the guy said it was an online price only and so they had to include delivery. I told him it was a pick up price. $19 was all they were willing to do so I walked out.

        • +1

          @midlake:
Go to the one on Hunter St. That's where I got mine from.

    • I once price matched something at Officeworks which was $200 less!, anything is possible :D

    • Do you have to buy it in store for that price or call them up to get it for that price? :)

    • As expected they finally updated their prices.

  • +1

Are they any good? Thinking of getting something for the kids bedroom, jsut needs to be a decent enough sound for music rather than through their ipad speakers

    • +10

Got one, and the sounds is fantastic for the size. Would def recommend. Crazy price.

    • +1

Great, not huge bass but sound qaulity is good and they are very loud. Loud enough to fill a outdoor varandah with music well.

    • +6

Pretty decent enough for a kids room. I'm happy with mine. As mentioned not deep bass but overall very good.

    • +1

I have one and it does everything I want it to. It sounds good, good volume range and no problems connecting to devices. I think I bought mine for $25, so $15 is great value.

    • +1

Clear audio, little bass, very portable, great for watching videos

    • +14

I connect mine to my phone and carry it around the house in my pocket. I got it for $19 and I have no regrets. (Unlike some other members of my household)

    • It's worth it.

      • +5

        Your worth it!

        • +10

          *you're

Thinking of getting something for the kids bedroom, jsut needs to be a decent enough sound for music rather than through their ipad speakers

If it doesn't need to be portable, get a stereo wired set, traditional-style.

      • no need for the non-removable internal battery here (which will age and hold far less charge after some years)
      • no need for bluetooth (of course you don't have to use it here)
      • no need to settle for mono sound

Available on The Good Guys ebay store also. Brings in the 1.3% cashrewards cashback !!

    • +16

What're you going to spend that extra 19.5c on in 2 months time? Haha.

      • +8

Mate that's half a maccas cone right there

        • +5

Aren't they like 60 cents now?

        • +6

          @gokhanh:

Ahh crap, make that a third then

        • +4

@gokhanh: They are.. Breaking the bank. No more cones for lunch.

        • +1

@montorola: It's daylight robbery what they charge for a cone nowadays!

  • Would this be OK to hang in the bathroom… not inside the shower but near the sink area where there is no water splash, but could get misty from hot showers?

    • There's been a couple of other users who have used this in their bathroom .
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/Logitech+x50

    • +1

Yeah, you can blow a fan over it or just cover it

    • +1

I do that quite a lot and it still seems to be fine.

      • Do you leave the speaker in the bathroom permanently?

        • +3

          I don't. It's only in there if I'm showering, shaving, etc…

        • +1

          @WhatDaHeck: Awesome… thanks!

    • +5

You can put it in a resealable sandwich bag and have a blast in the shower.

    • +1

Even if it does damage it after so long in the bathroom, it doesn't really matter because it was $15.

I impulse purchased one for the sole purpose of leaving it in the bathroom.

  • Which is better the X50 or X100?

    • +1

X50 does not have a microphone like the x100

    • +7

Steve Jobs recommends the x50 for sound quality, though he might have been drunk.

      • +4

Can confirm, sounds better when you're drunk

    • +3

Which is better the X50 or X100?

Depends how you define 'better'. You may want more portability. In which case the X50 is smaller & lighter. If you want speakerphone capability, the X100 is the only one in the running. You may want better sound quality, in which case the X100 would be better.

  • +7

must have for any ozbargainer :D

I got mine for $10 because the box was opened :P

  • I got mine last year from GG for $4 after the voucher credit. Works well.

    • Even better - bought free with TGG Voucher when $19 ;-)
      Great unit at great price.

  • +1

Does JB also have a price match policy?

  • +10

    • Non-stick cooking plate

I see you are into self-harm. Or perhaps don't know about the dangers.

      • That's hilarious coming from someone who isn't aware that it's safe.

        • Everything is 'safe'. Including the waffles.
          Consume.

  • It was 19$. Good deal from now.

  • +1

PayPal didn't seem to work for me. Took my credit card after a few attempts as well. They seem to be having issues with their system

    • +1

I've never been able to use PayPal with TGG :(.

      • i paid with PayPal using my amex. Strange how you guys having issues.

  • +1

Got one at OW for my bicycle. Should do better than my current K-Mart bike speaker.

  • Thanks OP

  • +13

This is so cheap that i just want to buy one for the sake of it.

  • +1

I placed an order on the goodguy web site. After I entered my credit card details and click pay, I got an error message. I received no order email but my credit card was charged. Anyone has the same problem?

    • All good here, sorry Fred maybe ask Barney.

  • Why this "C5AUS" code is not working??

    • +1

      Me not sure

    • +1

      iirc expired of April.

    • +2

      Min spend =$30?

      • But i spent triple of that minimum spend..

Maybe it expired in April as the one above said.

  • Outstanding find and price for a great sounding little speaker. Got mine few months back at $19 from Officeworks. Just wish two can be paired together to get the stereo effect.

  • only down side it seems no mic so no hands free calls
    or am I missing something???
bit of a downer as it's not hard to include a bloody mic and the bt profile for hands free.

    • Every cent is important to OEMs.

Same reason why you can have a super premium mobile phone have a crap/sub-par camera. If the good camera module costs $0.40 extra a piece, they'll use the lower spec one instead. $0.40 x god knows how many million units = lots of extra cost for no extra profit.

      • It's much easier to save money than it is to gain the money spent back via sales.

    • That would have been in the previous X100 model, they decided to remove the mic for handsfree calls in this X50 model bummer really but for $15 and seems to be dropping more and more can live without.

    • That's why you pay extra for the Logitech X100. Or simply buy from competitors.

Not only do small savings mean bigger profit over thousands of units, but the competitors selling without speakerphone feature need some competition too. Different price points, different products. And on top of this, the retailers want to make a good profit too.

If you want the 'best' value, look at direct-from-China units on ebay and elsewhere.

  • Just got this pricematched @ JB. Cheers OP!

  • Thanks lads, $15 pick up is a nice deal

  • Price beat it @ Officeworks for $14.25 then used my $25 gift card I won from the Wrigley's competition. Got the last black one left. Chick who came over to sort the price match looked it up on the computer even though I showed the price on my phone, seemed shocked and hesitant to sell it at that price lol.

  • do I need it? no
do I buy it? must resist..

    • +4

      Buy now ask questions later.

      • true ozbargainer ..

    • My thoughts exactly I have one already but why the temptation to get another is beyond me :\

  • Got for $14.25 @ Officeworks Airport West VIC.

Lady behind the counter checked Good Guys website to ensure there was stock, other than that, no dramas.

Thanks OP! You've bought me some good credits with the wife :)
