  • Excellent price if you don't mind the lack of a fingerprint sensor…..

Ah yes that can be easily enabled via firmware though

    • US Sony phones have the fingerprint sensor disabled by firmware only due to HP owning the patent for "fingerprint sensor in a power button" in the US.
This way, they don't need to pay royalties.
      Flash non-US firmware = win.

  • No band 28.

  • Apparently the Z series is still better in terms of performance lol

    • I doubt it. This has a snapdragon 820. The Z series never went higher than Snapdragon 810.

  • Might as well pay a little more and get the S7 for $480ish with the eBay 5% off sale with CR than this at this price.

  • SONY phone the software is crap. DO NOT buy

    • True.
I had major issues with OTA updates, which seemed not to have been tested before rollout. Major battery drain, camera crashes, etc.
I will not buy Sony again in a hurry.

I beg to differ. The sony software is almost stock with perfect little additions. Sony has the clear all button for background apps. No more swiping close every single app. Android 6+ have actually taken a few features from Sony and implemented them in the new versions of android, the new doze stamina mode is one of them.

Your comment is crap, unless you can explain why. The hardware probably isn't where it use to be, I can't say as my Xperia Z2 is still not showing any signs of slowing down after 2 years and 11 months. But the software is still top notch.

        Damnnn, shots fired!

      • I bought two Z1's in Sep 2014. Both crashed when trying to take photos straight from the box (especially on manual full 21Mp setting with GPS running). A known issue across Xperia Z1-Z3. I lost a lot of photos as a result, some of key moments which I can't get back. Plenty of people claim to offer fixes, but nothing worked. It was due to overheating.
Battery life after Lollipop updates was often halved. My phone became unusable and I had to unlock the bootloader to be able to revert to an older Sony ROM.

Good that your experience was without issues, but mine wasn't.

      • I am using my Sony Xperia ZX woth bad experience. Many app crashes on it. The basic one is the car remote. It only display a bunch of html code which I think sony is really behind in updating the software.
