      Not even roasted yet. All coffee from our site is fresh roasted to order and Ozbargain deals never more than a few days from roasting, often same day ;)

      Generally coffee benefits from at least 5 days to degas and develop after roasting anyway before performing at it's best

      A few things to note. The bag you receive will be different from the photo shown and will not have the date of roast. If you don't want your beans to be substituted, ensure you state it in your order for them to contact you first. Otherwise, coffee tastes great.

    i just received my order which i purchased 3 days ago. just wondering one of the bags have a little sticker saying 'drink first'. is that because the beans are older or have been roasted a while back?

      Yes, occasionally if there is a coffee that is already a week or so old we would give 1 of the 4 x 480g with a little drink first label and all the remaining 3 bags as fresh roasted that day.

      Doesn't happen often but sometimes can be extenuating circumstances in this case we were sourcing coffee in Thailand for a few days and couldn't roast. In a way it can actually be beneficial as coffee generally needs 5-7 days to degas and develop fully before performing at it's best.

      This way it's perfect to drink first whilst the other 3 bags develop.

      Usual practice with Ozbargain deals is that coffee is fresh roasted often same day or within 1 or 2 days as we perform bigger batches.

      All other standard website listings are roasted on demand the same day and can be custom roasted to specific profiles or brewing methods :)

    Any one with a Breville dual boiler and smart grinder have any experience with these? If so, what settings did you use?

      generally a 16s grind give or take at a 9 grind setting usually does the trick for a double

      if its coming out too dark and slow, adjust the grind to 10, i wouldnt go bigger than 10, just lower the dosage.
      if its coming out too fast, try 17 seconds

      if all fails use the double wall portafilter to cheat

          is the need to wait a real thing? it usually takes 2-3 days to arrive in the first place after roasting, so that should be enough no?

    Very good coffee! I hope when my supply's low this would pop-up again (or maybe just enter a subscription).

    I'll probably order less next time, only because I overestimated my appetite for coffee.

      Thanx for the feedback and great to hear that you are enjoying. If you try the decaf variation you may drink more haha You'd be suprised but most people wouldn't be able to tell that it was decaf. It's not like skinny cola 😆

      You won't be disappointed. Been using Manna beans for 2 years now with the Aeropress. Lucky for me I have a small group of people at work who also use Manna beans so we split the $60 / 4 bags. Happy to see the $35 option if I'm on my own.

    I haven't ordered from Mannabeans before, but can storerep or someone else explain the two dropdown options when ordering from their website? If I don't pick the empty valve bags option does that mean the original bags aren't resealable valved bags? Thanks in advance.

      The original bags are resealable. The empty bags option is if you needed additional empty bags to split it up into.

    How are people finding these compared to local boutique style roasters?
    I'm tempted to try but also knowing I can go for a drive and pick up some roasted that same day for almost the same price I'm wondering if these are extra special?

      Hi bertiness, all our coffees are fresh roasted and specialty grade :) Generally speaking coffee won't perform best for the first few days after roasting anyway as it needs time for the beans to degas and develop.

      This time period can vary but a general rule of thumb is 5-7 days. Some Ethiopians for example I find perform best from 14 days.
      We use Aus Post overnight express so you would normally get coffee within a couple of days of roasting so wouldn't be any more beneficial to get beans roasted the same day, if anything just the need to collect them or wait longer for them to develop :)
