Dilemma:
Telstra Prepaid Plus, but had the same issue with Freedom Plus and Encore before that.
28 day expiry.
So let's put on autorecharge so we don't forget to recharge and lose any rollover or accumulated account balance.
For some reason they only allow recharge on the same day of the month - eg. the 15th, despite these pre-paid plans being 28 day expiry.
So they have some convoluted system of extending the expiry date so you don't lose your data.
Fine - unless you go through your data and/or calls early and decide to buy a data pak or recharge again early.
If you do that on the 10th, the autorecharge system will still do your scheduled recharge on the 15th.
But I've got data now, no need to recharge me again.
Sure I can then go an alter the recharge day, but that's not always convenient to do as it's not available by USSD or 24x7. Not sure about their mobile site - I usually do it on their full site. Regardless, it's a hassle changing it and it's a bit confusing which day of the month to put in without cutting the expiry too short.
Compared to just an option like "Recharge on expiry" that isn't there.
Any nice solutions to this?
You get the full month (not 28 days) when you auto recharge.
