  • Um BEST COMPETITION EVER!

  • I bought two packages from Woolies but they have the same barcode, is that normal?

I am a little bit hesitant to enter again because they have a checkbox: I understand that if I have selected the wrong country or have entered with the same packaging barcode cut-out, then my entry is invalid.*

    • have a look at other items in your food cupboard. Barcodes will be the same for each one of the same product. That is how they are able to change the prices across the store quickly for the item.

      • I understand that, but I was thinking they maybe using a unique barcode just for this comp?

If not, why would they mentioend that "have entered with the same packaging barcode cut-out, then my entry is invalid."?

        • good point. I am guessing they are saying that if you enter with the exact same barcode more than once then it is invalid. By this I mean you buy 1 packet of skittles and then enter 3 times each day using that 1 packet. Maybe this is what they are trying to say. Hope you win an xbox!

@twilsoncrow: Got an email from them after I entered:

Should you have a winning entry down the track, we may ask you to post in all of your SKITTLESĀ® packaging barcode cut-outs (reply paid) which you used to enter. If the number of barcodes you have do not match the number of all of your entries, then we will not be able to validate your win, and nobody wants that to happen!

So please, keep and store all your barcode cut-outs safely. Just to be sure, we suggest you keep them until the end of January, 2018 by which time the second chance draw will have taken place.

I guess that's how they maintain the evidence, even though I would say it's not an efficient way to monitor. I could buy the skittles after I confirmed the win, lol

i am going to say I won because the screen told me i did, but then my email says I didn't win. I need to contact them in business hours tomorrow and see what is happening. I have my screen shot so hopefully just a glitch on their end.

hope it is a win for you. Start of a good week Paris is next!

      • That's the plan. Hubby can have Xbox, I want Paris tickets. We just had a rather expensive bill to fix his broken down car so this kind of cancels some of that out.

    • The same thing happened to me, so it does seem like a glitch. The email sounds more accurate though, unfortunately.

      • Nooooooo. What time did you enter?

        • Around 6:30pm. I jumped on here afterwards to see if anyone else came across the same issue.

        • @SueySauce: how do I unmark myself as a winner?

        • @loulou1: If you've marked yourself as a winner before, you should see "Won (1)" in grey on the comp image above. Click on it to remove your win.

        • @loulou1 and @SueySauce
I saw on another website that they may honour the wins. They mentioned to ring Wrigleys (the promoter) to discuss on 02 9847 9111.
          Good luck!!

        • @Cristobel: I rang and had to provide a lot of details and screenshots and they said they will email me this afternoon

        • @Cristobel: I called that number, and they suggested you to SMS the screenshot to them. Which I suspect they'd just use the date and time to determine the winning entry. I bet many people would have got the winning message.

        • @Maki: i did what they asked and i got a response back asking for my full name. i then got a message back saying i would receive an email this afternoon and a follow up one from customer care. However, it is now 5:30 and i haven't received any emails.

@loulou1: I did the same then they said they'll get in touch tmr.

        • @Maki: they have the data on who entered and when. They would also have data on who the first person was that entered after their specified time or whenever the system started glitching. I don't know why they need all this extra info which they already have access to.

        • @loulou1: Maybe they'll honor it then? Fingers crossed. BTW, I got an email from them tonight, just ask me to be patience while they work with the agency to find out what had happened.

        • Did you hear back from them today?

        • @Maki: nope

        • @loulou1: Neither do I…

        • @Maki: still nothing here

        • @loulou1: I messaged them earlier, they said they are still waiting to hear back from the agent who run this promotion…

        • @Maki: bit of a shambles really

        • @loulou1: Got the email reply, they didn't honor the Xbox, but they sent me a code for a $50 gift card.

        • @Maki: same

        • @loulou1: Just reading another forum and someone was offered additional 36 packs of skittles on top of the $50 voucher so they can enter again…I'm thinking whether I should email them though it's a while ago…

        • @Maki: I saw that too but no skittles for me
