Amazon also has a price drop on our favorite DS4 Controllers across all colors.

This is for people who prefer the more limited silver/gold colors as they are a couple of bucks more expensive than local offers from Target/Big W, who don't include silver/gold in their sales.

Customer Questions section and product description seem to indicate this is v2 with light bar on touch pad.

You can easily see from the picture its V2 as soon as you go to Amazon link.

The V2 Silver and the Gold Controller are yet to be released in Australia. At JB Hi-Fi/EB Games, pre-order price is $99/$99.95 and expected to be released on 28th June 2017

  • OP write the price like this: USD $46.42 /AUD $62

    • Done thanks

      • Cheers, prices are highlighted now.

      • also use these tags: Game Controller, PlayStation 4 Accessory

  • Just wondering is the v2 better quality? Thumbsticks don't wear out quick, trigger buttons don't break constantly etc.

I was extremely disappointed with the ps4 and more so with the controllers

V2 is mainly connection improvement. Less lag as USB Connection is supported, previously you were only able to charge via usb but connection via Bluetooth.

      • How did they work on PC without bluetooth then?

Did the PS4 just tell it not to connect by USB?

        • +1

PS4 did not have bluetooth support for the DS4 but PC was able to take advantage of both beforehand.

  • Thank you OP for this link and the referral link!

I want a good price on the steel black. That one is dope!

    • Yeah saw it in JB today, it's badass.

  • Hey, I am just having trouble deciding which currency to select, should I pay in AUD or USD?

Usd if you have a credit card free of exchange fees, like 28 degrees.

      • i dont, I am with CB and their USD conversion is currently 1 AUD equal to 0.7128 USD, so should I pick Aussie currency in Amazon? I am going to be charged an exchange fee in both cases, right?

        • +1

I guess if u check out with aud then u save the exchange fee.

  • Silver or gold?

    • Why not both :p

Fyi they become slightly cheaper when buying 2. For me total was $89.35 usd shipped to sydney.

  • how did you guys get the gold one?

it says does not ship for me

    • Just checked, still ships to australia. But maybe on back-order now as it says takes 1-2 month to ship.

      • ahh works fine on desktop, borked on mobile

  • For a person who already has 2 version 1 controllers, is it worth getting? I don't play COD or fighting games either so I'm guessing I don't really need the functionality of reduced lag but is there anything else which would make it worth it?

    • I see no reason for you to upgrade.

Though some people report slightly longer battery life on the new controller, it's never been officially confirmed by Sony.

I'm only buying this for its color.

      • My 2nd controller is gold. You won't be disappointed, it looks great in real life. If its the silver one you were after I'm sure that would look really nice too.

  • OP, remove the expiry, surprisingly silver one still sells for the same price
