OMG, did apple really sell this for $229?

Do you know there's still a queue for 6weeks shipment if u buy it from apple store
I just got mine last week and I use it >10hrs/day

      • Yeah, the usability is just simply well ahead of everything else

        • Does it fall out of your ear easily and does it look weird when you're wearing it?

        • @nightelves: doesn't fall out. Couldn't care less for looks

        • @nightelves:

1: surprisingly no. They stay in better, if anything, due to not being yanked by wires.

2: they're discreet enough that you won't really notice they're AirPods (as opposed to wired EarPods) unless you look intently. As long as you don't have them pointing in a weird direction, and instead have them follow your cheek contours

          @lawrencium:

I easily notice them all the time. They look ridiculous imo. I see no advantage to regular Bluetooth earphones that are cheaper and presumably better sound quality.

@nightelves: Saw a handful of people using them and really there's nothing weird about the look.

        • @nightelves: if u didn't fall out the earpod and u wont fall out the airpod

        • @jv: that's the exact pic I had in mind when I said 'pointing in a weird direction'. It's actually uncomfortable to have them placed with the stalks facing that way (at least in my ears)

Good first effort, but maths is a bit hazy - most people value QFF points at 1c each, so would consider them to cost $365.40.

Because point value is subjective, you would probably be better off just stating the point cost rather than trying to 'convert' it.

      yep

$0.00564 is very low value to put on Qantas FF points

if taking equiv in store vouchers, 0.66 of a cent is more like it (~$243)

and it goes up from there for most things

Don't think the points value is correct here.

  • 0.5 cents pp is half the value peeps would value the QFF points

  • can you just pay cash and get them here skipping the 6 week wait?

  • that's $365.40 in the classifieds

Quite a few people got ripped off then…

You know what? I don't usually say this to you but I completely agree.
