Okay, you said "each flybuys" in your original comment so that's why I thought you'd bought multiple cards on the one account. It sounds like you're on the right track for the points on the Visa 1 promotion. I doubt you'll get triple points on the visa 1 cards but I could be wrong.

That's the small print from my current triple points offer. Visa 1 cards count as a gift card.

It was available at my local Coles (Garden City, WA) with signage up on gift card stands outside the service counter.

I've used a few of these and had no issues, but usually get them from Woolies.
Just remember the following tips.
Using card at an EFTPOS terminal you swipe (not insert), select Credit, press Enter when it asks for PIN (as there's no PIN), then sign the receipt (or draw a picture).
Using card online, the card name is GIFT CARDHOLDER.
Using it for ongoing direct debit, you may get a ~$1 hold placed on the card.
Some direct debit facilities don't like these cards. I had trouble using it in the My Maccas app recently.I had trouble checking the balances at one point, but you can check the balance via phone for 1$ fee (i know, how dare they)
But if you got a full card, or you keep track of your spending, you don't need the balance checking thing.
And I always keep the receipt lol.
I didn't use it for retail purchase, however, I use it to purchase woolworths egiftcard via cashrewards and topup my iinet account.

I just received a targeted offer that is exactly the same as this offer in my email asking me to activate the offer on the Flybuy website. Does it mean I can get 2 gift cards (1 from catalog and 1 from targeted email)? T&C says 1 per household but it's from different source so I'm confused.

Thus it is not targeted, and "activating" it doesnt mean anything really except to make you feel like you have done something.

Also ignore the fact that there's a storewide offer right now. If you have a targeted flybuys offer, do you or do you not need to activate it to actually get the bonus points? And there will be no mention of oh you need to activate this offer first….
@tajid: Previous offers of similar type I bought two cards, one before activating it, and one after activating an offer and only got one set of points.

Just because it says activated can mean nothing, read the t&cs (small print).
It's not targeted it's a side wide thing.The offer is the same. If it was a targeted offer in the t&c's it would say "activate offer".
The CSR doesnt really know anything. or reads t&c's.
Thank you for sharing your previous experience. There are times that these offers are not tracking like my Android pay 4,000 points didn't track. I had to actually call. So that could be the case.

I understand that CSR sometimes doesn't know and I'd just think given they've confirmed then if I don't get the extra 2,000 pts I can say CS confirmed, look at the record.
@tajid: No point worth trying purchase another card risking no 2000 bonus pts in same account. I would just pick up a new card and process this way if you want another lot of 2000 pts. but good on you if you want to challenge it.

I can confirm you will get extra 2000 points (total 4000 points) if you receive an email that has the similar offer as the catelog.
Basically I bought one visa gift card with the catalog offer and got 2000 points. Then I received a targeted email about the same offer. I activated the email offer after I bought the first gift card. Then I bought the 2nd card 2 days ago and another 2000 points just came through today. So I received 4000 points in total.
Not sure if it'll work the same if you activate the email offer before you buy the 1st first gift card though.
When they ran a similar promo on the Coles Gift MasterCards, they had a 2000 point catalogue offer and I got a 2000 point targeted offer. I activated first, then bought 1 card and only got 2000 points. I think the wisdom from that thread was to buy one, then activate, then buy another. Upthread there's a discussion about the visa cards being a bit dicey to use, but if I can convert my first one to a Woolies eGiftCard in time for my targeted offer then I'll buy another and see if it works.
