I foolishly signed up for that free ashampoo burning studio last time it was posted.

Since then I kid you not, I get 2 emails a day from them offering me yet more of their crap software.

So just know before hand what you are letting yourself in for.

    • why not unsubscribe?

The complete suite for burning projects on CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc!

    Ashampoo® Home Designer
Plan or renovate your home in 3D

    Ashampoo® Snap 3

  • From Whirpool forum- They're not bad products, but just be aware that once you are on their database, you will be flooded with email offers and promotions.

      Use trashmail.net

Agreed. Although you can ask them to stop sending the emails, there seems no ability to remove your account from their system.

      Thanks for the warning.
As this is not the fault of the poster, I don't think it's fair to Neg it though.

      • I'm not negging the poster, I'm negging the bargain. I have no doubt the post is well intended, and I thought the previous Ashampoo bargain was great until I realised how they treated my contact details.

  • They do tend to spam a bit but it is easy to filter their email. I've been using versions of the burning studio for quite a few years and have been quite happy with it.

Um, if you login to your account on Ashampoo you can unsubscribe from all emails. If you're too stupid to figure out how to do that you probably shouldn't be on the internet. I think the - votes should be revoked.

    • I'm confused. My previous posts have disappeared. Is this because I expressed dislike for the fact that they don't let you remove an account with them?
Modtang, my negative comments (and perhaps those of others) were not purely because of the spam (which is excessive, even if they do let you switch it off). It is because they don't let you remove your account. I think people should have the right to ask them to remove your personal details. Just as people should have the right to dislike a bargain without being called stupid.

you should have read the terms and conditions before you installed mr make it so

you can update your account details in ashampoo website to uncheck the send promotions.

  • I've got to the download page without needing to enter an email address. Unless I'm missing something.

No need to enter your email address.

    EDIT:
Stand corrected - when you go into the program to convert it to a "full version" it requires an email address.

Oh, and Opt-out on the toolbar. grr.

  • Burning Sudio 10 uses the same key as the version from give away of the day posted a few weeks ago.

was using nero and all sorts of others for few years, but realised imgburn does just the job in a great way
