  • Was just about to press the Buy button on this.

How does this compare to, say, the Samsung EVO+?

I noticed it's around the same price?

    • This is better than the old evo+ but not the new evo plus.

  • this is faster u3 vs u1

  • Anyone know how these go in a dashcam viofo?

    • The viofo runs well with my dodgy 32GB energizer sd card so I guess this is overkill.

  • Being a U3 it should have speeds write around 30Mb/s and its read speeds are up to 90 Mb/s

This site however show tests around 60Mb/s reads and 20Mb/s writes but it depends on your device in the end. If you're using this to store photos, videos its fine. 1080p recordings will be fine, not 4K if that helps. Get faster ones for 4K recordings.

    • the toshiba on that page is a 32gb u1. This is U3. I've used it for recording 4k with no probs.

      • You looked at the wrong one, its the 3rd last from the list, not the last.

Toshiba Exceria (M302) which is this model advertised is U3.

But the reason why I don't recommend it for 4k is because according to that site it fell below the U3 speeds (30Mb/s writes). But if you've tested it then I take your word for it.

But still recommend a faster one for 4K, especially if you plan for higher bit rates or 4K@60 fps. This probably just scratches through for 40K@30 fps.

        • Ah, you're right I missed it. Its actually in my sd card reader now - I tested it with a one gig file and it only dipped below 30MB/s once. However the 60MB/s exceria I've got was loads faster (still not quite 60mb/s though). But thanks for the heads ip, I wont bother getting another one :)

  • Any deals on 128gb?

  • would you guys recommend this for samsung galaxy s8? thankyou..

  • Any deals on 64gb with fast write speeds?
