JBL Bluetooth Wireless T450BT on Ear Headphones Black ($40) or $20 if Using Concierge Credit

430

Found this.. looks like a bargain @ $40? Free C&C with The Good Guys (TGG)

Apparently the regular price is $80… found some sales in the past on OZB for $55~

I used my Concierge store credit to get it down to $20 with free C&C

Edit: https://www.jbl.com/over-ear-headphones/JBL+T450BT.html - $59.95 USD RRP

  • Is the price in AUD or USD?

    • $40AUD, but RRP is $59.95USD which is about $80AUD

    • Its good guys in Australia so i would think its AUD

      • Original link pointed to the US site, that's why I wanted to confirm.

How do we get Concierge store credit?

    what is Concierge store credit?

    • Here is the link. I am studying at it.

Whirlpool forums reckon it is awarded for taking out extra warranty on items n shiz.

      • Seems to have been sent randomly to your phone?? (people who bought lots of $$$ worth of stuff from TGG before, and some who only bought as less as $20, all seemed to have got the code) : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/143460

    • FYI if anyone is wondering about the whole Concierge store credit dealio:

Did some digging and found this-

" How do the Concierge Gold Service Extras work?

You can add Concierge Gold Service Extras whenever you purchase a product from The Good Guys…." and " can add Concierge Gold Service Extras up to 14 days after you've purchased your product.."

"Add what you want to buy to your online shopping cart then add Gold Service Extras to your purchase when prompted."

"The price of Concierge Gold Service Extras depends on three factors:

The price of the product you are purchasing ; The category of the product you are purchasing ; The timeframe of your Concierge Gold Service Extras"

TLDR: if you buy something from TGG, you get the option of adding "Gold Service Extras" - this gives you "$20 store credits sent to you 3x each year". I'm guessing OP bought something from TGG at some point and got thus got this $20 store credit code and applied towards this purchase.

  • Can we price match in Officeworks?

    • I would say yes.. but for me, it would not be worth it.. because I only paid $20

    • 5%, only save $2

      • Worth it if Officeworks is in the same suburb as Good Guys, like Mt Gravatt for instance.

The T450BT's are in the bins at the front of the store at Mt G, not down with the rest of the cans.

        Wooo 38bucks!!

  • Dammit! I paid $55 for these on the weekend. So far I am very happy with them, bass is strong and life is so much easier without cords. My only complaint would be that my ears become hot/ uncomfortable after extended use (1hr) but this seems to always happen to me with over the ear earphones.

    • I believe you can get the difference ($15) back with in 30 days

      • You can't get price difference if purchased at TGG, must be at a competitor or have concierge for these headphones.

        • I purchased them for $55 at Officeworks. Can I show officeworks the current $40 TGG price along with my receipt and they will refund me $15?

        • @jesse085:

Oh okay well TGG only offers that 30 day price guarantee. Best idea would be to follow OzSikhs' idea below and buy at this price and return to Officeworks under your other receipt.

    • Buy another pair on special price and then return using the old receipt

how to get the concierge store credit?

  • I cant stand these over the ears headphone in summer, making my whole head and ears sweat and at the end the headphone stinks!

  • Thanks OP! Can anyone please confirm if JB HiFi will price match this? Planning to use my JB HiFi gift card I got as a present. Thanks!

    • +1

Just an update. Went to JB HiFi and they price matched it. Still cheaper at OW with price beat but I have a JB hifi gift card so might as well buy from JB. Tried it and I could say sound quality and bass is good!

  • +1

just bought this headphone in OW for $38

    • did the same last night! OW Glebe Sydney (headphones placed in a separate isle to where the headphones usually live in) for $38!

  • They cant work with PS4 right? Sorry If I sound dumb 😞

    • +1

I would like to know as well.

I'm going to buy a pair today from Officeworks and return if they don't. They need to force HSP over BT 4.0 for Playstation 4. Which they do according to the manual. I'm hopeful but looking over forums online ppl have a lot of trouble with PS4 BT.

*update- so checked JBL's website and a moderator answered this question by saying…

The PS4 does not support A2DP or any audio streaming Bluetooth profiles. So no, the T450BT will not work with the PS4.

Not really a NEXT gen console…

      • Thanks for your response. Do let me know how they go mate.

        • +1

Looks like a no go. Going to wait for a sale on the PS4 genuine headphones. Guaranteed to work and get pretty gold reviews. Crazy but Sony won't allow third party BT headphones. Or at least make it as difficult as possible.

        • @Goremans:

Hmm interesting. I might do that as well. Better to be safe than sorry.

Anyone know what are they're like for basic flying noise cancelling? Not millions of k's a year, just a few trips. i've got a TDK cordered pair I've had for years, so maybe it's time to update.

  • Bought these this morning for $38 with OW price beat, but looks like OW has matched TGG's $40 now. They are definitely a good buy at $40 and sound great. Loving the blue colour ones!

  • -2

    Try if you are lucky!
It's very often found that TGG advertise some products with very cheap price, but they may not honor all orders.
Personally I have cross TGG off shopping list as they lied with saying product is out of stock, but online shows clearly in stock.

Picked a pair up a few hours ago. Loving them! For $40 I'm more than happy. The sound quality is actually good, nice amount of bass, doesn't sound tinny or "cheap" (pet peeve of mine is cheap crappy headphones, rather listen to silence). The build quality is pretty meh, very light and they feel pretty cheap, no padding on the top. I've only listened to them for about 45 minutes so can't comment on how comfortable they are for long periods of time but so far I'm very happy with them

Please update after a prolonged use? Thinking of getting them price matched at jb to use a few gift cards i have..

      • +1

picked these up couple days ago, used pretty much all work day yesterday, was a lot more comfortable than i was expecting. range is amazing too. Obviously cant expect A1 levels of comfort as they are "on-ear", but still didnt get uncomfortable at any point. also my ears didnt start hurting (which has happened with some others). Sound quality as above ^ is great.

Would recommend at this price, also when buying and asking if any open samples to try for comfort, OW staff said "our returns policy is pretty lax so I would just buy them and try them for a few days".

        • +1

Thanks for the detailed review, will try at JB tonight as I've got $50 in jb gift cards. They will hopefully price match OW and Good Guys.

        • +1

@alterego13: tipidmode above ^ was able to pm JB , good luck mate.

          @cartwheelz623:
          Thanks mate.
Now show some love to OP and '+' this deal ;)

    • Yes, please update on comfort if you can :) Stopped using headphones after they hurt my ears (the cheaper beats one) but want to get back into the game as earphones dont come close in sound quality. :D

  • Can I pair these with Samsung smart tv do you reckon?

  • For seem reason my Android phone can't find these headphones. Tried on another android phone and same issue. Both phones support bluetooth 4.0 works fine on my PC though. Anyone have any ideas?
