  • 7 days for 6GB. How could you use all in 7 days?

    • Game of throne

    • To download 7*24hr?

    • Mobile hotspot will kill your data pretty quickly. Old smartphones are great for this.

      • Dont you guys have internet at home?

        • Not everyone has NBN. Some need internet on the run.

    • 1GB a day then take a day off.

    • you must be new to ozbargain.. to be saying that!

    • Two words: Streaming video.

For example, go on holiday for a few days and watch netflix a few times.

    • That doesn't make much sense….

  • Don't you need to call up to get the 5gig top up?

    How is thus a deal?
    Normal price!
Telstra provide 6GB on these retail $10 Starter Packs. Check Telstra's site.
6GB offer has been going for a while & may be extended.

Telstra & anyone selling Telstra $10 Starter Packs (with 6GB from Telstra) sell them for $10 or less.
Can sometimes be bought for half that.

    • Deal now modified to reflect this.
      (thus above - naughty spellchecker!)

  • Saw this at Coles as well.

    • It's normal price, available (since last year!) where Telstra SIMs are sold including Telstra site with free delivery.
6GB aspect has been discussed several times.
These have sold for $5 @HN.
      Not a deal.

  • No deal, been around since Sol Trujillo was the head honcho

  • Deal now modified to reflect wide availability, available online with free delivery & is normal price.

But since when is normal price & long running offer - a deal??

Data offer that has been around for ages & likely to be extended - as usual with Telstra, previously posted & discussed.

Not much interest in these 7day SIMs. Better waiting for next Kogan $1 14GB offer.

This offer (or maybe an earlier deal) should have been labeled as LONG RUNNING DEAL rather than be expired & every extension posted as new deal. It's the same deal.

Confusingly, this deal is listed under BigW as seller, rather than Telstra. Looking up Telstra deals, a BigW deal would not show.

These deals are best linked to the product Telstra $10 Pre-Paid Sim Starter Kit. That makes it easier to look up previous deals, find other details or comments on this product.

Now to post deal of $2 milk at Woolies ;-)

NOTE — I had immense trouble actually GETTING this deal.
I bought a retail $10 starter pack in a store on Friday and specifically asked for one that was part of the 1+5Gb bonus data deal.

The SIM was activated online on Saturday night, but it took until 11am Monday, after three calls to Telstra, to get it activated — and it didn't have the bonus data applied. I am still trying to get that sorted out with a further call to Telstra. Very frustrating!

  • Let me know again once there's 30 day expiry or even 28.

be careful with this one…make sure you read the the small print, I got taken by agreeing on the chat to prepaid plus…I only got one gig, because i needed to say prepaid something else????

Bit of a sham imo, one needs to have a barrister with one these days. Anyway they pulled a gotcha and will not consider changing…you get one gig.

  • Wish I had read these comments now. Yes this is a scam. You will only get 1Gb unless you sign up for a $30+ plan after purchase.

Omkar: You will get 6 gb data only if you activated the sim in TELSTRA PRE_PAID PLUS mobile plan.
Omkar: As I can check you are on a broadband plan, that is why you have not received the 6 gb data.
Omkar: It is clearly mention in the link that the customer will get 6 gb data only if the sim is activated on Pre-paid plus plan.
