Coles is definitely going to ban us from posting early at this rate lol, we're not even into this weeks catalogue yet..

    • +3

8 days early, and spam free (sorry Savas)

    • Yeah, i don't want to see the goose that lays the golden egg killed

    • -1

Of course, the last thing Coles wants is people posting their catalogues, people might see it and buy something.

      • yes from the current catalogue.

  • Are there any Oreos still made in America or are they all from Indonesia or somewhere now?

    • +1

      yep indonesia

    • +2

The ones we got were made in China for a while - couldnt eat those as I just dont eat made in China food

      • Have you ever been to China?

        • +1

No, but I would really like to. Been to Honkers though. Semi counts

        • @King Tightarse: People don't poop on the street in Honkers though, you're missing the complete experience

    • +1

Indonesia and China. Won't be $1 if they're made in the USA!

      • +3

I think a lot of people would be OK with paying more for the USA version. Same with Pringles

        • +1

I miss the USA Pringles. New ones are just terrible. The Coles/Woolies brand ones are a good substitute, though.

        • @moneymoo:

I bought Pringles recently for the first time in years, the ones in the green can. They used to be awesome but this time they tasted like cardboard..

        • Not me

    • They moved the machine that makes Oreos from the USA to China. It's totally different!

      • Yeah mate I'm sure they literally disassembled the entire factory and shipped all that metal over to China, and kept everything the same…

Not like they would have constructed a new factory/used one already existing in China. Not like they would now be manufacturing them under Chinese hygiene/safety standards. Not like they would have changed where they source the ingredients from. Not like they would now be using lower quality ingredients to save money, aka the reason they have moved the production offshore in the first place.

    Thank you!

    Brilliant!!

It's amazing the % of junk and crap food is in supermarket catalogues. Getting fat is so cheap and easy. I wonder what it's like compared to a supermarket catalogue 20 years ago.

    • +2

Why is that amazing? The supermarket does everything in it's power to encourage overeating for obvious reasons.

  • +1

I think the giant packet of Tim Tam's are half price starting tomorrow. Not sure if that works out cheaper per 100g but something to keep in mind if you like to stock up like I do.

    • +4

      no giant double coat tho!

      • +2

double coat packs have fewer tim tams than the regular packs! I was horrified when I discovered this.

        • +2

Alas i know :( However i would say they are twice as good. Its a cost we all must bear!

        • +2

Yah, but double coat weighs the same as the regular tim tams (unlike the other packs that also have 9 but weigh less), so you essentially have 2 tim tams' worth of chocolate spread out to coat the other 9. Yum yum!

        • @mathematicalcoffee: Aah. Well, I guess it then comes down to your preferred chocolate-to-biscuit ratio. Still, the psychocological effects of having one less tim tam to enjoy must not be underestimated..

    • +2

True, value pack is 67¢ per 100g compared to 91¢ per 100g.

      • +2

I like your fancy cents sign. Is there a keyboard shortcut or did you copy it from charmap?

        • +2

hahaha I just search for it on google then copy, alternatively you could hold ALT + 0162

  • +4

This must be a record, catalogue posted 8 days in advance.

  • +1

where do you get this information from that it's so early. That's amazing. It is real?

  • $20 Coles Prepaid Mobile SIM Starter Kit $10
Incorrect. Scans at $20 in QLD

  • +2

    Thank you.

Scanning the catalogue makes it easy to see and remember.
