  hmm we have one of these. wouldn't recommend it.
  after a while the blades won't sit in properly anymore, unless you push it in.. but will require some effort to pull out. effort like wrapping the blades in something so i can grip it to pull it out.
  then there's the dead spot at the bottom where food just sits there under the blade because the blades don't sit low enough (even when it was new)
  when you make dough, the dough tends to ride up underneath the blade spine making it gunk up.

  the large plunger is half full of water after about 3 runs in the dishwasher. dunno how that happened. had to drill a tiny hole just to let the water out.

    Never had any of those issues. Sounds like you may have gotten a dodgy one. Call Breville and get them to fix it! These machines come with good warranties and I've found Breville to be pretty good with after sales support (had issues with my coffee machine and they fixed out of warranty).

      out of warranty unfortunately. . thing is.. the motor was fine. it was just the plastics that weren't designed very well.. the little teeth/grooves that "bite" into the trunk of the blades can get stripped rather easily, and the blade has a tendency to fly upwards when making dough..
      dunno… I put the thing through it's paces that's why i see these things . if you're like most that use it average of once a week.. then it's fine suppose..

      i've a different brand now.. for the extra $100 dollars you get twice more the machine.

      although i still wish i could afford a robo coupe.. haha
