Vivo 47" - $777 - Full HD Lcd TV - LTV47FHD @ Dick Smith - How low can they go?

90

2 years extra warranty = $80
4 years extra warranty = $130

This unit, with 2 years extra warranty (3 years total), @ $875 would be a pretty good deal ATM.

However for those not in a hurry, I think we will see some even better pricing on most TVs in the very near future!

It doesn't say on the page but I think this is a 50hz model.

Edited to include fuller specs list from here:

  • Amazing price.

At the speed of these price drops I'm wondering what we can get for this price in a few years…

Don't waste your money. TV is old technology, hold off from buying TV's for now. The way of the future is content streamed directly into our brains. Don't say I didn't try to warn you.

    • It really makes you wonder doesn't it?

      • Nah, direct to brain transmission won't be available in Australia for at least a decade! :(

However, the alternative our fearless leaders have agreed upon is still direct transmission of the content; it's just that rather than receive it neurally like other countries; much like with the NBN, our good mate Senator Stephen Conroy will allow us to take it rectally! :p

  • The 42" is at 444.00 pickup from Store although is a Demo in some stores

    • I think that's a 32inch.

it kinda looks like that they get old part and assemble as new tvs

    • +1

They're actually toy Tv's, not real TV's. New parts though, made from plastic.

      • decent for kids room ps3

Yes, it is technically a duplicate. It's for the same product from the same store, posted less than a week ago.

However to Horizon's credit, he posted this deal with the new price of $777. Your post previously had the price tag of $888 after 29/9. I see you just edited the title to reflect the new price.

[edit]: After reviewing this again, the price is lower than the original deal posted by cheapo.one, so it justifies being published as a more recent deal. Republishing this deal and marking the older one as expired. Added credit for cheapo.one for highlighting this in the original deal.

      • Agreed, IMHO the different price negates the dupe argument! ;)

Hi cheapo.one, I was grateful for your original post and followed the comments.

However it referred to the time limited $888 offer for DSE Online only sales and is still listed on the DSE site (and in the latest DSE catalogue) as a different deal: http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.filereader?4ca53c37008740d….

This new $777 offer is $111 less and is now available directly from DSE stores with stock.

I think this new pricing will trigger some aggressive counter offers from DSE's competitors.

      Things may get interesting…

      Edit 1: Updated this post.

Edit 2: Called into a DSE branch at lunch today (Friday 1/10/10) to see one of these running, but although they had 3 in stock none were unpacked and on display. Mind you, they had a composite TV feed which looked like shite on even the most expensive sets. So I guess it didn't matter.

  • I bought the $777 LCD with the $80 extra warranty ( paid $40)

    So far so good.

Anyone know any good colour settings?
