  • That seems way too cheap for that watch.

nah, Citizen always has ridiculous RRP.

and that ebay store is legit Aus Citizen warehouse which often sell selected models at heavily marked-down prices like these.

Then its a bloody good deal for a AT Ti promaster. This is approaching beaten up used prices on eBay. I've been looking for a Ti Promaster Nighthawk with the same internal slide-rule thingo as this watch, and they are $600+ used (although that particular model is quite rare).

  • How easy it it to resize these promasters?

    • better off paying a few bucks to a jeweller to do it for you… less likely to damage

also, has someone pointed out the radio doesnt work here?

45mm case is also getting up there

      • I have a Casio Redbull and it auto adjusts time in sydney fine, same radio design, I think it gets it from Japan??

        • Yeah it comes from Japan. I have a promaster skyhawk AT and it only sometimes picks up the signal here in Melbourne and its flakey, in that it can sometimes set the wrong time. So i turned it off.

I really don't need another watch…and yet, here we are.

    /shakes tiny fist at OP

  • wow, good price. most places are RRP $800..

    • Id say the "True value" is about $497 as that seems to be the next best price from star buy. Including the current coupon.

Really tempted in buying this. But i really wanted the chronograph version at the time :(

      Also don't forget cash rewards!

      • Yeah $500 sounds about right. Which still means this is a ripper deal. Its a lot of watch for $324 even sans chrono. I do like chrono in general, but I find citizen chronos look a bit naff for some reason (and lets face it, who really uses the chrono in anger anyway).

        • The Radio Function Doesn't work here as far as i know? That sucks.

Wondering if was to Purchase this what would be its used value later on down the line?

        • @Tehcookiemonsta:
In Melbourne its patchy, Sydney its fine apparently. It says on starbuy site that its a perpetual calendar anyway until a certain date, but I'm not sure if its due to AT or not but they wouldn't list a cutoff date if it was AT only.

My other AT promaster I think screwed up the AT due to daylight savings time, so it was easier for me just to switch off the AT.

        • @stumo: Well im in Sydney. Dam this is killing me. I Notice that the Band is Stainless Steel and Not Titanium is this a let down?

Trying to find a Decent Video of the Product so i can see it… but nothing so far.

        • @stumo: For some reason Reviews of this watch or even photos of the whole watch seem to be none existent… Want to see the Clasp.

        • @Tehcookiemonsta:
You need to buy first, ask questions later. Rule 2 of ozbargain.

It has a 30 day returns policy. I'm going to see if its as good as it looks. The SS band is a bit crap. I need a replacement for my Skyhawk AT because I struggle to read the date now that I'm getting old. I don't want glasses yet lol.

If it doesn't stack up I will just send it back for refund.

        • @stumo:

returning the product is going to incur in a shipping cost for me is it not?

          Not exactly "free to return"

  • RADIO SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK IN AUS.

  • I do not think that RRP is $1300. More like $800 or so

    • Clearly havent been through the comments Properly…

Ive stated above what the watches "true value" is (approx)

    Got the watch today…

    1. I'm pretty sure the band is titanium. The watch is the same size and weight as my current watch promaster Skyhawk AT Ti. If it had a ss band it would be significantly heavier. It also says titanium on the band which is a bit of a giveaway.

    2. It has a proper perpetual calendar. It doesn't NEED the AT signal to keep time/date correct.

    3. Seems you can't turn off the AT function though.

    4. ???

    5. Profit

I will most probably swap this out as my daily driver, and sell my Skyhawk AT which is a bit beaten up but should cover the cost of this watch.

This watch has everything I want in a watch… Ti, perpetual calendar, sapphire, waterproof, neutral design, excellent value for money.

Oh and it has the normal promaster double clasp.

EDIT: and it picked up the AT signal in Melbourne using manual forced reception mode as per the instruction in the booklet.

    • Got mine today, agree on the band, the Citizen is quite a bit lighter than my beloved steel case/band 40 mm Seiko Premier Perpetual Calendar. Didn't have any luck getting the AT signal in my single attempt (in Brisbane) but getting the correct time set was a doddle (to quote Sam Tarley, "I read the book and followed the instructions"). I'll get it resized tomorrow. Very happy with the watch, has a lovely light but quality feel to it.

I'm also working through the converter markings - turns out the bottom left crown rotates the face and the watch will give you a number of conversions, calculations and the like. The function doesn't seem to appear in the supplied instruction booklet, but the following link will give you the details: http://www.citizenwatch.com/en-us/files/2012/08/enhancedfeat…

      • AT signal went through overnight.
