  • does mineral lens prone to scratches easily ?

My invicta has been doing fine, no scratches on the "cyclops" over the date.

I went with the 40mm options which are 14mm thick, not sure if the thickness is measured with the cyclops or centre of case, 17mm seemed a bit thick for me to wear under shirt cuffs.

The N35A ….. mine is great it's been a month and I haven't lost a minute, hacked and synced to my phone, as accurate as my Omega Seamaster…. maybe I'm just lucky with the batch the movement came from.

I have the 17039, love it.

Problem with these can be the illumination isn't very bright,

I would have gone quartz, but the quartz versions don't have a screw down crown, so not sure how they would do for real water activities ….. not sure why they didn't have screw down on the quartz ….. looks like same case, but it must be the movement has limitations ????

47mm dia. & 17mm thick is a RIDICULOUSLY large watch. Unless you're a 6"5' hulking mountain of a man (or lady), this watch is likely too big for you.

    • I'm 6'4 man mountain. Will it be to big for me?

i have the international edition. It is way too big and heavy as stock…its like 225gm.

I removed the bracelet and thats 100gm gone.

you can pop on a nato or whatever and its fine. Its still big but with people hanging out with TW Steel and the huge bling monstrosities these days its not out of place.

          I'm just under 6ft.

I'm 5'7", and have one - it's fine. The band was a bit wide, but I guess that means I'll have to wear it over my wet-suit, though at least that makes it a bit easier to check when using it for what it is designed for. I haven't had a hard time from any dolphins on the looks, but it reasonably easy to read when the light gets a bit low.

You aren't supposed to wear it around your neck.

          B,B,B!

"This has INVICTA & GRAND DIVER stamped on the edges of the case."
Wow, what were they thinking? Looks terrible

Haha yeah it would actually look better & cost them less if they didn't do it.

The one good thing is it doesn't stand out as much in the flesh, compared to the photos.

      • They allegedly did it to stop people turning them into Rolex knockoffs.

        Yeah its ugly.

        • You could probably buff it out with a bit of effort and know how. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QXg3vAMz-U
I started on my invicta 8926 but got lazy and never finished lol

@Jinx: Very easy to remove the markings. Most people don't bother with the case back (fragile) and the clasp (thin). Many guides on youtube.

  • Saw some Invicta watches in Costco. God they look awful.

    • All brands have watches that don't appeal to everyone, that's why there are so many styles.

The Pro-Diver & Grand-Diver range with the Seiko Auto movement are popular amongst some members on Watchuseek.
