    What is the exact model?

        Make it a + and I'll give you +

      • Hi Rep, is the arctic silver dual sim as well?

        • Yes, Current S8 stock is Dual sim

  • Is this the cheapest so far on OZB?

    • +13

      Not quite, see product tag

Samsung Galaxy S8 64GB 950FD (Dual Sim) Midnight Black / Orchid Grey / Maple Gold $695.99 27/7 Buymobileau eBay
Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950FD) 5.8" 64GB LTE Dual SIM Unlocked Orchid Gray $663 30/6 QualityDeals eBay

They were all eBay deals, 10% off sitewide etc. Hard to beat those.

      • oh thanks…I missed those

        • +3

Be careful though; the S8 is a lot thicker, heavier, and expensive than reviewed.

          Why?
Its one of the most fragile phones, that it requires a case like an LifeProof/Otter box with a built in screen shield. Otherwise, get ready to spend another +$600. My Note 3 has been dropped far too heavily and too many times, and its still strong. Don't like this new trend of making phones really fragile, and the Active version is exclusive to America's AT&T plans.

        • +1

@Kangal: Yeah I don't see any compelling reason to upgrade from S6 to be honest. S8 loses the IR remote too.. not that I use it much, but still handy sometimes.

        • +2

@Kangal: This goes for any phone though really. Pixel has some of the biggest bezels, yet it's just as fragile, so screen size to body size, the Pixel will be EVERN bigger and heavier than the S8.

Also as a point of reference, my wife and several work colleagues use S8 without a case without issue.

        • +1

@nubzy: For the price though, nothing comes close to it though.

        • +1

          @Kangal:

I've read on Whirlpool that Samsung only charge $210 to replace the screen of the s8. Which is quite reasonable if you're clumsy enough to drop it. I have yet to break a screen on any phone.

        • +2

@Ronnnie: wouldn't touch it here in Australia for this model.

        • +1

          @Ronnnie:

Only if its an Australian model when fixing mine - they checked IMEI + Serial.

ALWAYS ask them to check the vibration motor after repair or you're going back for another 2 weeks.

Not sure they would repair OS model.

        • @blehgg:

They probably wouldn't, one of the downsides when dealing with grey stock. Always got to factor in these risks.

        • +1

@Ronnnie: not for a non- australian model - samsung wont fix it at all.

      • Thanks Hamza23. How can i search a product tag? Also can i set something up so that I'm notified when an item is listed again, ie follow all G-S8 listings?
        thanks so much.

        • +1

Sorry for the delay. To search for a product tag just use the search box in the top right corner, the product will appear. See picture example

Unfortunately you can't subscribe to a product tag, however you can set a search alert for 'Samsung Galaxy S8' so you'll get an email whenever something is posted with those words. Just do a search again but instead of clicking the product, just press enter to do a manual search. You'll see a search page like this, then just click 'create alert'. Might be safer to just do Galaxy S8 as the search alert actually.

You'll see there was an AU deal this morning

        • @hamza23: awesome, thanks!

Ordered a product on 11/08/2017 but it is still being processed. They are pretty slow at shipping their product

    • +3

Hello SydneyisSkyBlue, We are receiving large quantity of orders due to these daily promos. Warehouse guys are doing their best to ship as many as they can do in a day. Lot of people here must have received their tracking details as well.

      • +5

Not sure how many people have to wait this long for their order, but shopmonk really need to up their game.

5 days to process an order is way below par. 48 hours is the max people can wait.

        • +1

I agree that 5 days is slow but when it comes to a lot of these purchases which might be impulse, I wouldn't say 48 hours is the max I can wait.. I could even wait 2 weeks. I just want to know it'll arrive within a month. Delivery standards have been set low by all the China deals we have.

        • +2

so they can drag on time to get the item from O/S

        • @illumination: Waiting indurance is personal so no comment about that but it could've been better if they notified customers of such delays, as many people were praising about Shopmonk's quick processing time and fast shipping time via DHL.

        • +2

@SydneyisSkyBlue: Yea I can't disagree - a bit of communication like that doesn't hurt and should only serve to improve your image.

I just wanted to reply because it was mentioned as a blanket "48 hours is the max people can wait" which is definitely not true for me! And I'm sure I'm not alone.

        • +8

Our website says "Delivery between 14 to 21 days". It was great that we exceeded expectations on numerous occasions but we don't claim to deliver in 5 days. We have even delivered items in 3 days but it's not possible to do it for 100% of the orders.

        • +3

          @illumination:

Sorry I have to retract my "people can wait" to "some people can wait". :)

Unlike Apple iPhone, Samsung phones tend to lose their price rapidly over time. By the time you receive the phone, it will be much cheaper, even if the wait time is less than a month.

        • @shopmonk:
What's the average processing time of an order (i.e. order received to dispatch) ?

      • +2

Ordered two MacBook Airs on Sunday and I've just picked them up from DHL Adelaide, so pretty good in my case.

        • Oh. I ordered iphone SE on last sunday but haven't got any information yet. Lucky you.

      • I ordered an iPhone for mum on 5th September 2017 and still nothing, pull your finger out son

    • +1

Ordered headphones on weekend, received today.

    • +1

Ordered on Thursday and delivered Friday. Even Aust Post can't guarantee next day delivery.

This was for another shop but shipped from Singapore via DHL which would be the same in this case.

    waiting on a s8+ deal

  • Can both sim card slots be used for 3G/4G simulataneously? Or does one default to 2G?

    • Primary 4G and secondary 3G I think

      • Pretty important that it be 4G/3G in Australia obviously. As 2G is basically shut off for most telcos already. I think only Vodafone use 2G still, and not for long.

  • +3

Great price, the ebay sales sometimes get this low but the seller usually can't be trusted. Shopmonk proved themselves with that cracker Bose QC35 deal. My question regarding the duel sim model is whether the second sim slot can still be used as a microsd card slot? (newb question)

    • Hey Bruce,

      It certainly can.

    • +3

      Just to clarify.
If you are using 2 sims, you can't use a SD card.
If using only a single sim, you CAN use an SD card.

If you are after a phone with 2x sim and a separate SD card slot. Check out the Moto G & Z series. They also have no bloatware like other brands of phone ;)

    • +3

You can use 2 sim cards AND a micro sd card at the same time but it requires a hack. You basically have to reshape and thin down the sd card.

    Any deals on Gear s3?

  • +5

Any chance for a S8+ deal?

And how is your warranty service as opposed to the likes of DWI/qd_au?

It also says 'Sale' products come with only 6 months of warranty? What about Australian Consumer Law?

    • -1

Australian consumer Law is for Australian retailers not overseas purchases

    • +2

Its definitely one year warranty on all products. Sorry for the error- will get it fixed. Thanks for highlighting

    • I'd be curious about the warranty service too, is it a Samsung warranty service or the store offering the service because Aussie stock gets you 2yrs Warranty

  • Phone specs say 700mhz B28.
Can anyone confirm if this model 100% supports Band 28 on both SIM slots?

    • +1

Band 28 is 4g right? 2nd sim slot is 3g only.

      • thanks! No wonder.. I bought an S8 during the last deal and I still get people calling me, going straight to voice mail (live in a reall bad reception area). Just realized my sim card was in slot 2… Going to try putting it in slot 1 to see if reception improves :)

  • REP any plans of getting the deal on Bose QC back again.
regret that I missed out on it.

    • +5

QC25 or QC35? We had them both on special. If I have enough people interested, I can try and get it back on special. Also, I request people to suggest us products (PM).

      • +8

QC35 for $250 again, and prepare a whole container of stocks.

        • This will give a mild heart attack for people who have ordered at 327.

      • qc35 please

      • +4

        QC35 for $250 please

      • -1

        QC35 REP.
Hope you can do a better deal!

      • LG v20 for $290

    • On special request- switching this on for 50 black and 25 silver @$327. sorry, couldn't do it any lower

  • Miss the free to air radio app.
The 2017 Samsung A5 (mid range phone model) has it.

    • Google Play has it.

    • Then you want the US variant of the S8 with the snapdragon 835, you can then download nextradio and the FM tuner can be used.

  • +4

still waiting for a good Samsung S8+ deal.

  • +4

Yes I am waiting for s8+ deal. Rep, will have s8+ deal?

  • +1

Hi rep, can you please confirm if these are the Exynos processor or the Snapdragon? Looking at the black variant, sm-g950fd. Thanks!

    • +1

Exynos by my reckoning. This is the Asia model only the NA models have Snapdragon.

      • which one is better?

          The first one from memory.

        • I'm particularly interested in VR and how the processor is throttled when it heats up.

Any idea which is the better in that scenario?

      • Thanks! Ordered 🙂 I checked up on it, if it a 950f it is Exynos, 950u is Snapdragon. FD is Exynos and dual SIM. Rep mentioned it was a 950FD.🙂

  • Has anyone bought from Shopmonk - I am a bit nervous - are they reliable - will they deliver?. I have seen lots of bad reviews online? Thx

    • Well I bought a portable charger from them recently and received confirmation that it is being shipped and the order has been processed. Pretty sure they will deliver.

  • wait until the iPhone releases next month and the price will drop down further

  • +1

You should post deal on LG v20 or G6.

  • Does anyone have issues communicating with shopmonk ebay? My last message I sent maybe a month ago was ignored and I am thinking the message that I sent earlier today will also be ignored.

      • eBay, not ozbargain. I had no luck talking to shopmonk through eBay so I decided to post on ozbargain instead lol. A bit ridiculous if you ask me.

        • I'm sure the rep would help you, he's very quick to assist in posts.

        • +2

Could you please drop another message on eBay? I will ask guys to make sure all messages are replied on ebay/Shopmonk website.

        • @shopmonk:

Perhaps I can ask you on here?

The s8+ (on both eBay and shopmonk.com.au) show the battery as 3000 mAh. Is this a mistake?

        • @iamblaq: Yes, you are right. It should say 3500 mAh. Thanks for highlighting the mistake. Will get it corrected.

        • @shopmonk:

Thanks. Could you also tell me which model is sold for the s8 plus on ebay? (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-Plus-64-GB-Blac…)

I mainly want to know which soc it has and whether or not it is dual sim or single sim.

        • @iamblaq: dual sim.

        • @shopmonk:

Is it an Exynos chip or snapdragon chip?

        • @iamblaq:
          Look up the model number?

        • @Godric:
Maybe I'm blind but I cannot see the model number on the eBay listing at all?

        • @iamblaq: exy
