According to the module on the Fishpond page, ALL orders receive free shipping this week, not just the ones over $49.
There doesn't seem to be anything else confirming this. Clicking on the module just takes you to the standards shipping details page…

From what I've read about fishpond, I don't think I would want a free postage option, the obvious thought it is just another excuse for slow postage
fishpond = dodgy practices. buyer beware if you are offered a great price, they will do their best to not honour the transaction.
shrug I've never had a prob with Fishpond. Ordered their clearance of DJ Hero Renegade Ed. ($49) last week and it arrived today well packaged. $7 to ship 22kg from QLD to NSW seems very reasonable too.
Ive ordered three things from fishpond now, not one bad experience yet - in fact they were very helpful and responsive when I questioned a possible duplicated transaction.
Good timing too, I was emailed a $10 buck voucher from them as well…. hmmmm
edit: just logged into my fishpond account - at the top of the page it says 'free shipping' as well.
I only ever had one problem with Fishpond, during xmas last year when Aus Post was striking so it wasn't really their fault. Even my pre-order of Halo Reach arrived on release day.
The only problem I had with Fishpond is when they sent me Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (US version), when I ordered from a page which had Professor Layton and Pandora's Box (AU / UK). For all intents and purposes it's the same game, except I'm anal about that kind of thing. They ended up replacing the game for free without too much hassle (just a few e-mails debating the merits of my claim) and I've gotten a fair number of freebies from them for various bits and bobs pointing out problems and things on their Web site, so I've had a net positive experience. Nobody's perfect.
Just got myself this book and with free shipping. According to them the arrival time is the 24th. Hope its true XD
