    Cheaper elsewhere…

Banggood has the same band @ $32.32 and this is their every day price, not 50% off..

      AU$20.65 from Gearbest

This is a huge price difference for local stock

    • Comes to like $20AUD using code SDMB2. Bought one last night. But the OP is for Australian Stock, so the $10 delivery could be justified based on the expensive Australia Post Parcel Post.

Unlike oversea sellers, we do pay GST, duty, tax and additional postage for faster and safer shipping service.
Plus 12 months standard local warranty.
If you find one cheaper within Australia, we will price match them ;)

50% off seems a bit of a joke considering you can get it for 40% off your reduced price from Gearbest. Add an extra $5 onto the gearbest price and you can get it within 10 days, still cheaper than yours and probably similar timing considering AP.

Not a bad deal for local stock, but the 50% off seems misleading as SS Australia sell it for $48.95 normally.

I have nothing against supporting Aussie businesses, but the fact that you were selling it for triple the price from overseas seems a bit ridiculous..

        • You can see a lot local eBay sellers have it for even more expensive.

        • That's a very good point.
That's why our price is always lower than market price.
When this product first came out, the market price in HongKong was about AUD$60.
Even then, our price has never above $50 when other locals were selling it for AUD$70~.
It's unfair for Aussies to pay much higher price for anything because of all the taxes and fees.
          But that's not our call.
We really wish we can sell/buy everything as cheap as in US/HongKong :)

I always wondering why Aussies need to pay that much more like mobile, HiFi, etc. May be too many people in between.

        • @superforever: First of all, limitation of range of products that are produced locally.
          Secondly, high labor and taxes.
Next but not last, relatively small market compares to other countries.

          @mushtato:
It's misleading to say 50% off if your product has never been over $50 and you're selling at $33.55.
Please acquaint yourself with Consumer pricing laws.
          Negging due to this.

I agree with Store Rep. Not all ozbargainers want the effort of dealing with overseas sellers and are happy to pay more for local stock and service.

    • Thank you for supporting Australian business :)

mrs has this for like 7 months or so.
its OKAY but not for price above $25.
    just my 2c

    • +1

We are more than happy to drop the price even lower.
However, this product is CNY$149 in China.
Forget about all the taxes and duty, AusPost shipping with tracking and signature is over AUD$7.
Unlike oversea sellers, we don't want our customers to wait for a long time and worry about their purchases.
What happens if it's lost on its way?
Overall, what we are doing fits the Australian standard of service from a local business.
We believe that's the right thing to do :\

  • If you want one quick because they are local stock otherwise wait for gearbest.

This is a $20 'throw away when the novelty wears off' item. I agree with the idea of supporting Australian businesses, but in this case you're basically paying this seller $13 to avoid the hassle of signing up to gearbest.

  • Had to wait more than 2 months from Banggood

    • never arrived from Gamiss.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/285440

      • I have only once happened with Banggood because it was a powerbank. Otherwise so far no problem with Banggood and Gearbest.

Normally it will take a month.

      • Mine arrived fairly fast from Gamiss.

  • Is this deal still on as it now say $69.95 is their a code Im missing

    • +1

We've extended the promotion for few more days.
You can grab one now :)
