Just got an email regarding this Coupon Code deal and saw the Olympus which I've been eyeing.

Thought it was an EXCELLENT price so figured I'd share

  • How does this compare to the Sony Rx100 M2? I love the look and style of this camera but already own the Rx100.

    • +1

      That is a fixed lens

      This one is interchangeable

Huge difference and depends on your needs

      • Thank you. Is this an entry level micro 3/4 camera ? ( I also own a Canon 70D + a few lens, but find it a bit heavy to carry around on trips).

        • +1

I wouldn't say entry level. It's quite capable of taking fantastic pictures

        • @Jason Genova:
          Thanks

As far as the OMD range is, this would be classed as the entry level. Next advanced is the E-M5, and flagship is the E-M1.

  • Not sure it's such an EXCELLENT price?

$584 new grey import from HK with 20% coupon.

I got mine from Ryda (local stock/warranty) for $719.08 during the last round of Ebay discounts, however they're not listed there just now.

  • Great camera. The price however is not a great deal.

  • I got mine with a 40-150mm lens before Christmas last year, paid $940 ish from JB, and got a $100 Visa card from Olympus

But sold it after 2 month, didn't like the photo quality, auto focus slow and always wrong focus, colors are not clear, etc, lots worse than my 650D

    • Thanks for the info, was thinking of getting this…

      • Can't really compare it to a full frame camera imo

        • +1

Canon 650D is not a full frame camera, and only half of price than this camera.

Don't just take his word for it. Check online reviews, it is a very popular camera with great results.

I'm a happy owner but I understand it has limitations. The older top range models score slightly higher because they're faster and have better ois

I got this camera at the start of the year after much research and can report i'm extremely happy and satisfied with this camera. I'm an amateur when it comes photography and I personally think this is perfect and also excellent for traveling (as are most mirrorless). currently in europe and have taken it everywhere with me.

Good price, but new version mark 3 will be announced end of this month. Expect a bit higher price though.

  • This is a great camera and a really good deal.

  • This, or the Sony a6000?

I have this camera and I am not happy. Still find it difficult to use. A lot of settings. It has been in the drawer for the last 5mths.

I regret selling my Nikon D3100 lenses and sb400 flashlight.

i only have kit lens so will buy another lens and a flashlight. indoor photos or night shots look so much better if you have flash light and can bounce it to the top.

I wouldn't recommend this camera. go for the cheaper nikon entry dslrs! n cheaper lenses! my nikon pics barely need any editing but i need to edit every photo with this camera… no different from iphone pics that i have to edit each pic.
also the price is not good. i bought it before xmas for $690 inc $150 gift card and some goodies. and i claimed gst.

  • Great camera but price isn't too good. I got mine at JB for $726 in July 2016
