So heading over to Europe next year for my honey moon and have convinced(ing) the wife to stop in Russia to catch a game (regardless if the Socceroos make it) at the world cup.
Russia has strict visa laws but i know that they have said they are looking at changing them for the world cup?
anyone else know whats going on?

If you have a ticket to the world cup you will be issues with a Fan ID which allows you to enter Russia without a regular visa. It only allows entry 10 days prior and post world cup dates (so you have to be in and out between June 4 - July 25).
The same system was in place for the 2017 confed cup, you can look that up.
