List & Sell up to 10 Items Free (No Insertion/Final Value Fees) @ eBay

2461

Another round of no final value fee listings from eBay :) The link in the post will take you to the automatic signup page, if you're targeted then it will accept the offer, it not then you've missed out sorry.

My account missed out but my parents got it, so unsure of the targeted status.

The Terms & Conditions page is currently unvailable but it's safe to say it's the same as These Terms but with different dates.

Terms are Live and have been Updated

The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on 13 Sept 2017 00:00:00 (AEST) to 11 October 2017 23.59.59 (“Promotion Period”).

Items must be listed and available for purchase by 23:59 (AEST) on 30 September 2017 in order to qualify for the promotion.

Some FAQ's for these deals:

Q: Does the item need to be sold before the end date?
A: No, the item only need to be listed before the end date and can be sold after that.

Q: Does it work on items you already have listed ? Or do you need to remove and relist within the offer dates?
A: You must remove and relist the listing to ensure the final value fees are nil.

As always, enjoy :)

Worked for me. Thanks OP. Now if only I knew how to sell things on ebay. Anyone recommend a good YouTube Clip / Website on how to do this?

    • They have a really easy process to sell, follow the pages here.

how to sell things on ebay

It's pretty easy, simply list something on their site and then bend over and prepare for eBay.

      • That's what I was fearing the most!

      You must be furious, George?

  • Wow finally one that works for me. Do the items need to sell by the end date, or that's just the last date of enlisting items?

    • +2

Just got to make sure that the listing is put up before the end date, it can be sold after it :)

      • Cheers =)

  • Sweet Jesus, be waiting for another one of these. Thank you

Should have been free the whole time instead of ridiculous rates of insertion fees unlike other places in the world.

Too little too late. Competition is a b_____.

    • Plenty of other countries have insertion fees, and some have even higher FVFs.

      • I'll retract what I said if you can give me the link. I was in the Philippines and there was no FVF, Singapore as well to name two off my head.

        • US and UK charge fees, and Singapore charge store fees.

  • there's been an ongoing glitch where insertion fees are being charged for people with the 40 free listings a month

    • Definitely worth contacting live chat about it if it happens, they dealt with my last issue with fees in swift time over chat.

    • Yeah. Glitch. Right.

    Dearest Scab,

We don't care about you so we never send you any vouchers or offers, even though you've subscribed to our emails.

We'll send them to everyone else at Ozbargain except for you.

    Love

Doesn't work! I just listed 2 items, but "List & Sell up to 10 items for free on eBay now!" offer says that I've still used 0/10 ?

    • Was just about to say the same thing, it used up some of my 40 free listings instead.

Edit: The previous time I used one of these, and for that recent $1 deal too, the listings showed up right away in the appropriate column.

    • Think it triggers after the sale has completed.

      • It does, once the item sells it will show.

        • No, it glitched last time with me, if it doesn't come off the tally be prepares to speak to chat everytime to get a refund.

        • @scuderiarmani:

Didn't glitch for me with a previous one, worked fine and showed as a promo credit on my monthly bill.

    • From the last time I sold with the promotion it triggered after sale.

      • hmm 100% sure about this?

        • Yep 100% sure, it just counts it as an insertion free listing until final sale. If it doesn't work definitely contact eBay immediately and they will credit the fee as they can see that the listing is active in the account. Just make sure it isn't an exempt item.

Just sell the item first and then contact eBay after if you have any issues, I've just explained my prior experiences. eBay chat is very good with dealing with fee issues after the sale!

I think he served me at 7-Eleven yesterday.

-Waits for the barrage of neg votes.

    • Also a little concerning that the "Learn More" link on the offer is broken (link to http://sellercentre.ebay.com.au/promo/5623 is not found). I've added some things and have 0/10 offers consumed. Last month's promo updated immediately.

      • The T&C page is now live.

    • Go and relist tomorrow because the terms have updated for that date.

  • Annoying that I never get targeted for these offers but good for those that are. You can save a bit if your selling items of high value or have a alot to sell.

  • Question for the more experienced: if I've listed items on the free insertion deal, can I cancel them early and relist on this deal without some penalties?

    • +2

There is no penalty as long as the item does not have an current bids on it. You can cancel and relist for free otherwise.

      • thanks

    • I would cancel and sell similar instead of relisting.

      • Yep did that thanks

  • Does it work on items you already have listed ? Or do you need to remove and relist within the offer dates?

    • +1

Need to remove and relist within the dates.

      • Awesome - thanks so much :)

        • No problem, I'm going to put some FAQ's in the post to help people out haha.

    • Go and remove and relist tomorrow because the terms were updated for that.

  • Anyone got any to give away?

    • Give what away, you can't?

    • +1

Yes, send me your items & I will sell them for you.

      • ALright cool i've got 5 bose qc35s looking to sell. WHere bouts do ulive

          99% Scotty Boulevard, Ozbargain Heights.

  • Awesome

  • w00t! It worked for me, thanks OP! Time to cancel some active ones and re-list.

  • Work for me too. Thanks a lot. Time to sell my Hp all in one pc

    • +1

I would never sell computer stuff on eBay, too many idiots who can't use a PC and the risk of a claim is too great for me.

      Especially secondhand PC stuff.

      • I had a guy purchase an assortment of usb sticks, couldn't use usb 3 though…. Uggghhhh

        • +4

I listed an item once and in big red font I put that it doesn't work on Mac.

Some idiot bought it then lodged a claim because it didn't work on his Mac.

After that I gave up selling computer stuff, some idiots shouldn't be allowed near anything that uses electricity let alone a PC.

  • I just realised that I have 40 transaction offer and 10 transaction offer. Can anyone please confirm if both are same or not? Can't figure out by myself.

    • The 40 offer gives you 40 free insertions every month (FVFs still apply).

This one gives you 10 free insertions and no FVFs within the specified promo period.

      • Thanks. Is there any way I mention or select which offer I am selecting when post items for sale? Obviously, I am not a regular seller and it would make sense to use 10 free transactions offer.

        • Is there any way I mention or select which offer I am selecting when post items for sale?

          No.

How it worked for me last time was that any listings I did within the period came out of my 40 free first, but I still received a promo credit for the item in my eBay bill when sold.

No idea about this promo as the T&C page is broken.

      • Not work for me after active offers list 10 item for free final fee ,i still have 35 left free item for every month,I start up for sale and i sold,i check ebay bill them send me final fee $20 ,and check i still get 10 item for free,i think look like you much empty or don't activate offers 40 item for every month, then offers 10 item free list will work,i no idea how this offers work.sorry my English nit well

        • just chat with ebay service online, ask about my offer up 10 item for free, them say have trouble on ebay system and them still fix it,and them delete my final value fee,and them say i still have 9 left,so who have problem like me just contact them askremove final value fee, cheer

  • Got it! Thanks OP.

  • Perfect, got it! Thank you!

  • …I can wait ebay…not paying your fees when you dole these deals out like candy.

  • paypal fees removed as well??

    • No.

    • No.

  • Nvm. Thanks OP

  • got it…but just made my sale yesterday :(

  • thanks almost missed this one

  • Haven't listed an item for a few years. Any tips for working out freight values / best value freight options?

    • +1

Weigh and measure the item and set the ad to calculate postage, it will use the Australia Post calculator and the cost will vary depending on the buyer's postcode.

Or you can just set a fixed cost, but I wouldn't do that with heavy/bulky items.

    • +3

Check out Officeworks Mailman as an alternative to AusPost:

      https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/c/office-sup…

    • Make sure to add extra to the postage cost, because eBay now charges you a fee on top of the postage cost for some reason.

      • Cheers ..Fee bay fees!

  • "Q: Does the item need to be sold before the end date?
A: No, the item only need to be listed before the end date and can be sold after that."

Does this include items that are listed under "good till sold"?

    • I'm unsure, you'll have to live chat ebay and ask them.

    • Good ‘Til Cancelled listings created during the Promotion Period will be eligible for the promotion only until the listing automatically re-lists.

I'm guessing you have to end it and then relist, without needing to creat a completely new listing from scratch?

      • I just realized good till cancelled listings never auto-relist(unless it was a typo an they meant auction lists and not good till cancelled lists…which do auto-relist after they don't sell…?), so I'm not sure what they're on about there…

Also, you need to make a completely new listing if you wanted the offer to be valid on your listing(and not just end it and then relist the ended/expired item), or so I was told…

  • For reference, I've bought a few cheap items on ebay every month and never sold anything on ebay before. I got this email.

  • Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.

  • Terms and Conditions page is live: http://sellercentre.ebay.com.au/promo/5623

It now starts tomorrow 13/9, and the listings need to be put up by 30/9, other conditions should be per usual.

  • FYI

The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on 13 Sept 2017 00:00:00 (AEST) to 11 October 2017 23.59.59 (“Promotion Period”).
Items must be listed and available for purchase by 23:59 (AEST) on 30 September 2017 in order to qualify for the promotion.

In your All Selling page at the very bottom there is a 'Promotional Offers' section by default. You can check there if you item has qualified for this offer.

    • Runs until 11/10 but must be listed by 30/9. Inconsistent with past offers. Does that mean the item must be sold by 11/10?

  • +2

That means those who jumped in and listed their items before should take them down and relist them tomorrow.
