    Went on to ebay to see if it was on there, of course at $1'290 and they changed buy now price on the 21st. Don't understand why they raise the price because Ebay pay the 20%, don't they?

      From what I understand, the 20% discount is shared between eBay and Bing Lee.

      If it was a sitewide discount, then the entire discount will be paid by eBay.

        It has been stated before on OzB by someone who knew a store owner that eBay has approached (to see if they wanted to be part of a sale) that there is a split and it's 15% store, 5% eBay.

        Frankly we should accept a 15% price hike as legitimate then.

  Benefits or differences over a similar sized Kogan for half the price?

  All I can think of quickly off the top of my head would be ports selection, upscaling video quality, input lag, pixel to pixel response time, overall picture quality, backlight technology, specific game modes, power usage, viewing angle, maybe VESA mounting compatibility, blackest blacks or level of blacks and sound quality.

  Probably forgetting a few others like ARC and menu responsiveness/smart tv capabilities but I think I covered the most important.

  In this area its either JVC, TEAC, Platinum, Soniq, Bauhn, Kogan, Hisense, TCL, Changhong a few other no names and now this.

  Wish there were better review and comparison sites for tv's like we do for tablets, phones and pc's but unfortunately all we really have is individual sometimes useless sites, user feedback and this.

  Rtings is good sometimes but they don't cover certain models especially very low end no name random bargain ones.

  Anyone with any useful knowledge on the subject please chime in or link to some useful resources.

  This is Samsung Series 6 series. Kogan is selling Samsung series 8 panels and the current Samsung TV's are Series 9.
