"in regaining control over what we're feeding ourselves"
The price of hot-rocks or skillets must have soared since the last time I looked. Still, this would make a perfect partner to my child's blue-tooth enabled mud-pie maker.
Seriously - it's f*&cking flatbread! If making that by hand is beyond you, you really shouldn't be using anything that plugs in until mummy says you're ready.

I hear you brother, the irony of a kitchen enthusiast device to over simplify something that is surely targeted at people who aren’t kitchen savvy is beyond me.

No deal. It seems to be an overpriced product for what it does: https://www.cnet.com/products/rotimatic/review/

at least it isn't cold pressed juice…..

but seriously… dough making isn't hard

don't see a bargain in price either

  • Contrary to many comments, proper good flakey/fluffy roti isn't very easy to make.

But having said that, we buy frozen roti 30/pc ~$7.50 at Costco (Katoomba - in a green packet), it's cooked int eh frying pan. it's so much better & more like real roti then the fresh crap they sell in the supermarkets. It actually tastes & has similar texture to the ones we eta in Malaysia (or Malaysian restaurants).

So I could buy 170 packets (or 5120 roti's) for the price of this machine
    I wouldn;t even consider it when it's $100, maybe $50.

Seriously op, who is your target audience, restaurants?

    • the average kitchen hack will still do a better job than the rotimatic

the reviews which aren't shills say the roti quality is well below average
