Hi Al,

Came across this deal on IGN daily deals. Can be posted to Australia which bought my total to around $107USD. With my 28 Degrees or Citibank fee free card, this equals around $138AUD.

I have seen other colours of this model in the last couple months on ozb and they seem to have been a big hit. Figured I would pull the trigger and use on the Xbox X which is releasing next week.

I think its better to wait for black friday deals. Just in my personal opinion as it is very near.

    • Thanks, that's what I reckon too. Or opening specials of Amazon Australia. Wanting the desktop version of this but not so much discount, works out at $162 which is only about $10 cheaper than a local.

Op, please update the title. $107.99 is before shipping. Shipping comes at $7.17, so it's $115.16 delivered (~AU$149.92).

  • Does anyone know how this dive compares to the WD My Passport portable drive, which is slightly cheaper?

    • No sh*tware.

Edit: Actually I think I got an elements one. Also it's LOUD! As loud as the powered desktop ones.

I got one of these last month and it immediately failed, prompting me to format every 1 second. I sent it back and Amazon sent me a replacement express post which arrived 4 days later. :)

First WD that's ever failed on me. Lucky it happened right away.
