I pay TPG for unlimited data on a 25Mb fixed wireless connection with full signal strength. We have used TPG for years with hardly any issues until we got this NBN connection. I’ve been trying to download a single bleeping patch on my PS4 for 2 freaking weeks and my single day off has come and gone twice (!!!!) and the patch is still downloading. I am beyond furious. This connection isn’t even at my house as we can only get satellite where we live (5 minutes drive away), it’s at the elderly inlaws, they don’t even use it. We have it so when we need a reliable connection for work or school needs we can use it, it’s handy to have but a huge pain in the ass to update consoles or PCs we would usually have at home. Is there anything that can be done here or should I just cancel my connection and keep my money? We’ve recently signed up for 2 new phones that come with 400gig a month of cellular data between them that sync at the pictured 26Mb or usually higher, they would probably handle most of our internet needs. Any advice would be much appreciated
Posted from phone so sorry for year 2 level editing etc etc
It's a Vodafone mobile so I'm not sure I'd be putting all my eggs in that basket, but I'd be fine with 400gb/month - we only average ~250gb/month and that includes streaming TV shows / movies most nights of the week and Steam game updates.
