Event Cinemas: Small Popcorn + Drink Combo $5; Vmax Session $18.50 via Debit Mastercard

510

After this beauty of a deal expired for Event Cinemas, they've thrown up a couple more offers.
This stacks well with AmEx Statement Credits - but enrolments have ended. Only applicable if you've already signed up.
Edit: Obviously you need to purchase these deals with a debit mastercard… would reccomend buying popcorn here, and tickets via Telstra Thanks via AmEx.

Vouchers are valid 6 months from purchase.
Vmax tickets not valid for use Saturdays from 5pm.

Just a heads up that you appear to be able to use ANY Mastercard, it doesn't have to be a debit card. I used my 28 Degrees card and payment went through without any issues, and vouchers have been received.

  • What is the normal price for Small Popcorn + Drink Combo

    • I think it's $10.50 or something ludicrous.

  • Will it work for Coles MasterCard?

  • If you are a Cinebuzz member (free to join), Vmax tickets are only $14 each (unless it's Saturday after 5:00pm where standard prices apply). It's cheaper than this deal and even Telstra Thanks. And with Cinebuzz, you can accumulate points to get free tickets.

    • "If you are a Cinebuzz member (free to join), Vmax tickets are only $14 each"

huh? no they aren't, unless you're referring to some specific deal.

      • My local Event has this deal but I have double checked and it looks like it's location based. Some cinemas have this deal and some don't. I have checked a few (Burwood, Top Ryde, Parramatta, Liverpool etc) have the discount and some (George St, Macquarie, Hurstville, Hornsby etc) don't. If you are a Cinebuzz member, you can login online and check the prices. Perhaps just check your local cinemas and see if they do the discount.

  • ignore

  • Found the following link in regards to the Cinebuzz member special pricing (it lists the cinemas with special pricing):
    https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/Promotions/SpecialCinebuzzMe…

Those that have special pricing on standard tickets should have discounts on Vmax.

  • Can I get the free Telstra Pre paid sim (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/321032) and use it to sign up to Telstra Thanks?

Or is Post Paid only eligable for Telstra Thanks?

  • Can I buy two of these?

  • Just bought and paid, voucher arrives and it says wait 24 hours for activation. So much for going to the movie tonight.

    • I don’t think you actually need to wait

      • It didn't immediately work, but after about 15 mins was good to go.

  • Good deal for infrequent movie goers! Thanks OP
