I'll have a look, thanks Scrimshaw. What can you say about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3?
it also runs the same MTK MT8176 SOC. It's mid range, doesnt have GPS, doesn't have microSD card, but you'll get reversible USB-C and fast charge. Software is probably better with more frequent updates, but I don't know how long Xiaomi intends to support this device.
Probably no more than 2 years since it's release (released April 2017)
Battery Capacity(mAh): 8100mAh, Li-ion polymer battery
Charging Time.: 7-8 hours
That is sooo slow quick charging time.
I think that's probably incorrect… even my old ancient ASUS FHD tablet from 2013 with similar battery capacity fully charges in 4 hours.
maybe they meant to say battery run time as opposed to charging time?
hahaha,,probably, i'll watch the reviews later tonight..and some comparison video reviews vs the xiaomi mi pad 3..thanks again scrimshaw. Have you had any experience with any Teclast brand?
I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S at the moment, I have no issues with it aside from the weak battery now. I'm even considering just buying a replacement battery and changing it myself.
Nope. Only Cube
Cube U30GT was my first android tablet — kind crappy, but it was cheap and it lasted 2 years
ASUS Me302C FHD good tablet that I used for 3 years
current tablet is an SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab A (10.1) 2016. Pretty good tablet for all round use, good battery life but the GPU performance is lacking for games.
@scrimshaw: Do they put what GPU the tablet has in the specs? or is part of the processor?
I even tried an ASUS transformer before, graphics was great but battery was really bad compared with the Tab S.
Tablet and phones use what is called an SOC meaning system on a chip, which is a combination of CPU, GPU, and other things like modems
You can generally find out about how each soc performs using sites like Notebookcheck. Example for Samsung Exynos 7870 found in my Galaxy tab
Was it AUD $229 for Teclast when you commented, scrimshaw? It looks like the price have gone up now.
yes price went up
What about lenovo? Are their tablets any good? I've seen on officeworks clearance ones for $99 for 10 inch but no longer available
GB is doing a flash sale for the Teclast Master T10 @ $229.76

It runs a midrange SOC, Mediatek MT8176 which has two powerful cores, but also four other relatively weak Cortex-A53 cores. A lot of RAM and very high resolution display
