    Any bargains?

  • Portable air con Vostok 10000btu $299 on dicksmith but $449 on kogan

Move over JV, let me make a point…

At OzBargain the description area resembles a shop window. Yours has been empty 7 minutes. Invest 3 minutes adding 4+ example bargains with direct links and obviously prices to maximise Members' interest. Your 'edit' button is between 'view' and 'revisions'.

Copyright PJC / though maybe I am too harsh as you are not associated with the store.

Wow! They sell a lot of crap…

      • I bought a PC case last time, $10 off made it cheaper then elsewhere and I didn't pay postage which would have been expensive…

        • +3

Hard to find something of value in all that rubbish though.

@jv: haha yeh I clicked that link and was like :/…

Just saying if anyone has a bulky item purchase these sales are pretty good for that.

I got $20 off $100 on kogan from Qantas and also have $10 sign up credit 😋

You asked for it ozb and here it is, a bulk shipping deal ROFL.

    Imagine the shipping on this…

    • Meh, it probably cost them about $200 to buy in

    Does it apply for dicksmith.com.au?
There's some TVs on sale on dicksmith but not kogan, but they belong to the same company right?

    Thanks

    • Doubt it, they run different sales/prices …

  • +1

Are the prices jacked by double the shipping cost yet?
Sure they did, Kogan have done this every time!

    • You'd think they'd go it easy after getting the ACCC fine for it, have you seen this recently?

      • Well I've seen it before, didn't care about their deals afterwards. Didn't know they got fined for it. Thanks for the heads up.

Ps: Well to be honest I just went to check a few items, looks like the prices were not jacked! Thanks to ACCC. This is very much surprising! Could they do this always? I mean how about eBay sellers? And others?

        • I think Kogan is a particularly big target. I suspect some of the Ebay sellers aren't big enough to be on the ACCC's radar, due to its assumedly limited resources, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

(edit: Also now that they run Dick Smith they have a bit more flexibility, I noticed there were some cheaper prices over there, in some cases maybe better than getting free shipping.)

        • @mattythecapybara:

A printer I wanted to buy has gone up $6 overnight

        • @mattythecapybara:

Yeap, the 43" 4K TV jumped from $379 to $429.

Ok, I am not saying they didn't increase the prices but a few items I checked.
Apparently when ACCC were still sleeping over night Kogan did Jack the prices! Sneaky Kogan.

        • +1

@easternculture: Sad to hear, if that's the case. In general, I do wonder if sometimes such fines are considered by some businesses to be the cost of doing business, and aren't big enough to be a real deterrent.

  • Mrs willyroo suggested this morning we (err I) buy the Ovela Ceramic Kitchen Top Bench for $59.

Turn on PC, but ALWAYS check OzB first.

Well there you go. $59 with free postage. And $10 to/from Cocobear.

    Thanks OP!

    • I had the bench and it's shitty

The wood they used is poor quality, it.split while I was assembling it.

Nevertheless I returned it and got a refund

I honestly wouldn't pay more than $10 for it

      • Yeah it looks average even in the photos.

  • Will they deliver before Xmas?

    • "Buy Now Guaranteed Delivery Before Xmas"

  • Mainland Australia?
    Does this exclude Tassie?

  • thanks heaps, $38 for case come PC case delivered

  • Sonos Play:1 $199… lowest I've seen unless you factor in Harvey Norman's $100 cash back.

  • Also, is there any limit on how many accounts one can create with $10 referral credit applied until Kogan gets the shits?
