Fast Wired / Slow Wireless NBN (Optus)

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

I have done wired speed tests throughout my house and I get consistently 90-98 Mbps through Optus NBN.

On my wireless devices it's a different story. If i do a speed test right next to my Optus modem, I only get 5-10mbps.

Does this sound like dodgy hardware? Is it worth buying something like google wifi or a Netgear orbi?

Is it your Wi-Fi router or theirs? Are you testing on 2.4ghz or 5Ghz?

What device you using and what protocols does it support?

    Use AC wireless on the 5GHz band. Use a better router too.
