    always the way

    • +1

Haha same! Although I got some discounted Good Guys vouchers 6% off through work… plus Cash Rewards! So think it worked out to be $903.

      • What about their Price Guarantee?

        • +5

After my experience with TGG and their price match guarantee, I have avoided them since.

I call the store nearest if they honour their price match guarantee, they say yes, I rock up to store 15 minutes later and the price is now $1 cheaper than the competitor and they now claim that they have the "lowest price", even though it was me that brought it up with them over the phone.

        • @t25:

          Complain to ombudsmen

        • @t25: price match or price beat?

        • @t25: TGG policy states that they beat prices by 5% of the difference between the two prices.

        • +3

@bti_jet: yeah, I did think about that, but decided it was too hard as they would probably just spin some excuses anyway and no further action will be taken. decided it is easier to just vote with my money and shop with a company that is more "ethical".

@cheapbloke: I can't remember as it was back in 2010 (or thereabouts). Thinking back, it was probably a price beat but I cannot say with certainty.

@dannyfern: By reducing the price to competitor prices - $1, they simply claimed to have the lowest price.

    • I've had this happen a few times the last few weeks. Once with a PS4 pro and with a Samsung MU7000 (a slightly better Sony was on sale yesterday).

    • Where did you buy from?

kinda sad P5OZZIE is the only ebay code we see oh here since amazon launch lol

    Where's the love for the 65"ers :(

  • Damn bought this off GG website yesterday for $956. Anyone know if i can just cancel my click and collect deal and buy this one?

    • you sure can call them and see mate quite possible

  • How’s the smart features and scheduled recording on this? And is it ideal for gaming Xbox one s?

    • +1

Gaming brilliant. Haven't tried myself but low input lag up there with the beat. I'll try it out tonight.

Smart features are meh. It does YouTube and Netflix well but that's about it. If you really want features then something running Android would be more up your alley.

      • Thanks sabaramo 👍

      • Just for the benefit of ppl like me, what kind of “smart features” are out there?

        • you can get full blown android powered TV's that will install apps just like a phone. Limitless options.

The OP is an Android based TV.

  • Thanks OP. Going to try and price match at HN.

And there were only 2 available at the time of posting…

  • Guys - not only do I see the 55N7 as back in stock (at least at a store near me), but the 65N7 is also on sale making it 1515 using the 5% off code.

  • how does this compare with the Bauhn 65" on sale at Aldi tmr?

    • +3

Chalk and cheese, the Hisense is by far a superior product.

  • i just bought the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/349554 should i cancel and get this instead?

    • +3

I would.. also 3 years warranty

    • I would if possible

  • Good Tv's, Bought a 65" last year and have never had an issue,, the UI can be a little slow but I always use my Nexus Player for Netflix and Plex.

  • Good TV, once you turn off all the smooth motion junk and calibrate. Got it for 1043 a couple of months ago and was happy with that so certainly a good price.

  • Hdr?

    • Yes HDR10

      • Is the refresh rate on 4k good? 60hz? I can't find any information on this.

  • +1

Whether this will go further down in price for boxing day is the question!

  • I picked up the 55N6 while it doesn't have 100hz it certainly does the job for me $798 at jb HiFi, just set it up tonight , replaced my 10year old Samsung plasma :)

    • For $100 more u get N7 with HDR not worth it?

      • That's if your local to a Bing Lee , not me.. the N6 Does HDR as well it's really Just 60hz vs 100hz.. couldn't justify the $200 jump at my local for the N7

  • Great TV for the price but the input lag is a bit high for gaming

  • So

    • 4K resolution (check)
    • HDR10 (check)
    • low input lag for gaming (check)
    • chroma subsampling 4:4:4 for non blurry pc monitor usage (not sure)
    • 4k 60 Hz (not sure)

Can anybody add any more confirmations?

    • It has 2 4K 60hz ports and 2 4K 30hz ports

  • Does anyone have the direct link to this deal? My search takes me to http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Hisense-55-UHD-LED-Smart-TV-5… which has it listed at $1195. Price gone back up?

    • Yep, looks like the deal has expired.

  • If anyone sees a deal like this or the goodguys deals again can you pleaaaase notify me, i missed the last 20% off goodguys deal because of ebay errors and im kicking myself so bad.
