FWIW I did clarify, they don't include Xbox One controllers as a PC accessory unfortunately.

Do they still have deals on the steam controller or steam link?

      • Thanks for the quick reply! Do appreciate it, yes it's definitely easier to check myself but I do like being a part of the community and making comments.

Also opens up some discussion, maybe I should have asked whether anyone has bought one and would recommend it or not? Also I'm a lazy POS

Although definitely doesn't look enticing, they were doing 2 steam links for like $50ish which made it totally worth it. Guess it's expired

I personally have the controller and really like it. It's currently a bit overpriced if you don't want any of the games listed. I bought mine a couple years ago when it came with rocket league for the same price and it was super worth it.

        • Can't speak for the controller but I had a Steam Link on gigabit ethernet and it gave me pretty mixed results. Lots of games ran perfectly on it but others were like low-quality Youtube videos. Nier Automata was so bad I ended up just moving my PC to my TV until I finished playing it and now I just run a long HDMI cable from my PC to my TV but if that's not an option then it's a decent purchase. (maybe not for $90 though, I've seen EB sell them for the $20-$30 range)

or they could be asking about if there were promotions relating to it? like a steam g/c with purchase or something along those lines?

is it really that hard for you to treat them with a bit of respect?

or they could be asking about if there were promotions relating to it? like a steam g/c with purchase or something along those lines?

Which would be shown on the website.

is it really that hard for you to treat them with a bit of respect?

I linked them to both of the pages, I could have just said 'go search yourself'. What exactly are you adding to this at all?

          @Porthos:

Which would be shown on the website.

Like the deal that we're both commenting on? No mention of that on the page.

I linked them to both of the pages, I could have just said 'go search yourself'.

You could have instead said "Doesn't look like it" and linked to it, rather than saying "is it really that hard"

What exactly are you adding to this at all?

That it takes virtually no extra effort to treat a stranger with respect. You never know what they might be going through :)

Then clearly the deal isn't on then…

You could have instead said "Doesn't look like it" and linked to it, rather than saying "is it really that hard"

Wow, some people are far too precious.

That it takes virtually no extra effort to treat a stranger with respect. You never know what they might be going through :)

Searching and linking them to both the Steam link and Steam controller was 'effort' to do :)

Is it really that hard(ebgames.com.au) for you to search(ebgames.com.au) at all?

Searching their website is a waste of time. Which you'd know if you used it.

If the Steam Controller was cheaper, I would probably go for this. As is, you're probably better off waiting for a good sale on your peripheral of choice (I got a Steam Link from EB for $30) and buying the games separately (all 3 of these titles can be had quite cheap)

    • Agreed.

  • …damn….I should have waited and bought that expensive mouse for a free game….oh well…at least I was able to use one when I needed it….

  • Seems in-store only?

  • Damn just got some switch stuff last week .. nice to have got some freebies.

    • +1

      switch is not PC hardware.

      • oops missed the PC part just read gaming accessories…thanks

  • Also depends on the person behind the counter. I wanted a set of headphones which were on sale. Went in the morning and the person said no, the headphones were not an accessory, in the afternoon the fella behind the counter gave me the free game.

Robina home store just said this deal expired, was only black Friday sale.

  • Anyone confirm if this is on or not?

  • Merged from INSTORE EB Games Spend $47 on PC Accessories - Free PC Copy of Prey, Doom, or Evil Within 2

Haven't seen this posted, but its a pretty good deal.

In store only as far as I can tell. Not listed on the website.

I bought a $60 keyboard (https://ebgames.com.au/Stores/find-stock/221132), got a steel case copy of Evil Within 2, ebayed it for $40. Cut the cost of my keyboard significantly.

    Great with items like https://ebgames.com.au/pc-153882-Logitech-F710-Wireless-PC-G…

Works with any PC accessory $47 or over. Deal gets worse the higher you spend because of EB's generally high price on PC accessories.

Started in early December, but still ongoing.

    • No wolfenstein 2? :(

    • I went in on Saturday (30th december) and bought gaming mat ($47) they said the promotion wasn't going anymore…

      • +1

Return them the mat and give them the finger

  • This deal is still available, saw a massive poster at parkmore (VIC) eb games today promoting it
